During the five years that Xiao Yue was under Granny Lu Yin's tutelage, she discovered that shamans were blessed with a wide range of capabilities, most of which were not used by common shamans. Most shamans limited themselves with healing and prophecy to aid the tribes and or kingdoms they were in. Some others made use of many other skills, such as astral projection to spy on distant places and portals to connect two faraway places. Both were done by picturing the person or the place that they wanted to reach. The difference lay in the method.
