When Xiao Yue entered, Long Zhao Feng was awake and off the bed. He was eyeing the two tiny jars that Xiao Yue left behind, one containing the deadly poison and the other containing the antidote.
Xiao Yue placed the bowl of medicine and the five other tiny jars and lined them up on the table.
"How are you feeling?"
"Alive," Long Zhao Feng answered curtly.
"That had to be the most embarrassing near-death experience in my life."
Xiao Yue pursed her lips.
"Good that you know. Now drink the medicine."
Long Zhao Feng smiled. He took the bowl into his hand and scrunched up his brows before gulping it down in one go. His brows went up when he first tasted the supposedly bitter medicine. After he finished the whole bowl, he licked his lips and frowned.
"Are you sure you did not make a mistake while brewing it? I have tasted this concoction at least ten times, and the taste was more and more disgusting every time I drank it."
