Xi'an tribe's homeland was located around two hundred miles outside of the Hong Kingdom's west border. According to the historical annals that were kept by the elders of the tribe, the Xi'an tribe originated from an ancient unnamed tribe, which was split into three different tribes because the three sons of the deceased Tribe Chief at that time could not come into an agreement as to who should inherit the tribe.
This was a common occurrence when Tribe Chiefs had more than one son and the sons were all interested in ruling the tribe. Unlike kingdoms that appointed a crown prince to succeed the throne in the event that the ruling king passed, Tribe Chiefs believed in equality and did not appoint a successor beforehand.
