As a young girl, Lu Yin belonged to a tribe in the northern area by the name of Bei She Tribe. The tribe had been going on generation after generation and produced shamans with excellent skills. This was mainly because the Tribe Chiefs heavily relied on shamans to make predictions before they made decisions. While most tribes only had one shaman at a time, Bei She Tribe had at least two reigning shamans and a few more junior shamans in training.
Not everyone could become a shaman. Bei She Tribe discovered that shamanism was inherited through blood. It might skip a generation or two, but the girls who were born from shamans were likely to awaken and become shamans themselves. These girls were thus groomed from a young age to prepare for their awakening.
