[Five years later, Long residence]
The maids in the Long house were used to hearing the pitter-patter of tiny feet before little Young Master Long Yan actually showed up. Today, the five-year-old boy was especially energetic. It was because his uncle finally came home after concluding a long expedition with the King.
Long Yan ran all the way to the gates and waited patiently inside. His wet nurse finally caught up with him and begged him to come inside.
"Young Master Long Yan, please come inside! You cannot wait here. Your uncle will be upset."
Long Yan's chubby face fell.
"Why? A-Yan just wants to see Uncle as soon as possible."
"Your uncle also wants to see you as soon as possible. He will come to see you right after he arrives, okay?"
Long Yan would have agreed to come in if he did not happen to hear the sound of horses approaching the gates.
"Uncle!!" He shouted happily and stuck to the gates stubbornly.
