Sofia's p.o.v
My vision is hazy and I feel as if I have no control over my actions, I see a child and a man. They are waving at me? I feel euphoric, That's weird. I start walking towards them and suddenly I hear ringing in the distance. As I walk, it gets louder and louder, and suddenly my eyes open. "Oh, it was just a dream," I think to myself.
I set off my alarm, it is currently 5:00. I do some yoga, after that, I have a long bath. I go downstairs for breakfast and sit at the table, waiting for Maria to give me food, once I get the food I start to eat while checking my schedule for the day.
Buongiorno Sofia"(Good Morning Sofia) I hear my parents say after I am done analyzing the schedule. "Buongiorno mamma e papà" (Good Morning mother and father) I reply. Papá is one of the best psychologists in the country while mamma is a fashion designer. I received my designing skills from her."Quali Sono I tuoi programmi per Oggi Sofi?"(what are your plans for today sofi?)papá asks. "Ho un grande Progetto da Parigi" (I got a big project from Paris) I respond. We spoke some more until it was time for me to go."Devo andare Adesso, ciao"(I need to go now, bye) I say as I head out."Addio caro"(goodbye dear) they say in unison.
As I reach the garage, I get into my car and drive off.
When I step into the building, I am addressed with greetings. I get in the elevator and into my office, once I get in I start preparing for the conference. The conference is about our upcoming fashion show, we will discuss the theme as well as the models. By the time I am done preparing the presentation it is time for the meeting. When I get to the conference hall I notice all the employees are already waiting for me.
Once everyone is settled down, I clear my throat and begin to speak."Good Morning, everyone, I want to thank you for attending this gathering. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss our upcoming fashion show. Last week I drew up a poll to choose the theme of the show, the choices were between nature and space, the majority chose nature. Even though I am not very interested in this particular theme does not mean I do not want it to be perfect. Now let's talk about the models, I have created a list of top models some of which are Monica, Rosa, Ravinia, and Aria. The designs will be created by Mr. Giovanni. The structure of the runway will be a straight line with a rotating circle at the end. I want the audience to be on the sides of the ramp and the special guests who are from Paris in front. Make arrangements accordingly. This show needs to be phenomenal, I will not tolerate any mistakes since this is an important project for the company." Once I am done everyone applauds and compliments me for the good PowerPoint presentation.
It is now 1:30, time for a break, I go to a restaurant nearby and order linguini, the waitress comes with my order "Buon appetito signorina Cervi."( Enjoy your food miss Cervi)she said while handing my meal "Grazie"(thank you)I reply. When I am done, I go back to work. The company hired new models, therefore I had to go and give a speech on the rules of the company. After that, I was done for the day so I headed home.
When I arrive home I change my clothes and prepare everything for the next day. By then it is already late so I get down for dinner." Com'è andata la tua Giornata amore?"(how was your day love?) I heard mamma asking,
"Faticoso, ma meno di Ogni Altro Giorno." (Tiring, but less than every other day.) I say as I take a seat. Maria brings the food and mamma thanks her.
"Sofia, Devo parlarti di una Cosa importante." (Sofia, I need to speak to you about something important)papá says."Vai Avanti papá " (go ahead, father)." Dobbiamo parlare del tuo Matrimonio, ho in mente alcune persone e -"(We need to speak about your marriage, I have a few people in mind and-) papá starts saying before I interrupt him. " Papá, Quante volte ti ho detto che non-sono interessato a sposarmi, dopotutto ho iniziato la mia attività solo 2 anni fa e ho ancora molti obiettivi da raggiungere."(Father, how many times have I told you I am not interested in getting married, after all, I only started my business 2 years ago and I still have a lot of goals to accomplish) I said in desperation." Ma Sofia hai già 25 anni, non stai diventando più giovane e per quanto riguarda I tuoi obiettivi Puoi ancora raggiungerli dopo il Matrimonio."(But Sofia, you are already 25 years old, you aren't getting any younger and about your goals, you can still achieve them after marriage)." Non-Voglio rimanere bloccato in un Matrimonio senza amore come te e la Madre. Sto partendo! "(I don't want to be stuck in a loveless marriage like you and mother, I'm leaving!) I said as I slammed my spoon on the French polished table.
I went to bed furious that night. The next morning I woke up determined to show papá I will reach any heights to not get married.

The actual storyline will probably begin in chapters 3 or 4.
