That footsteps of hope were that of Tom Hankins. Yes, the one who the girls had helped. He walked straight into the shuttered room where Leah and Julie were trapped. He had opened the shutter with a smile
he said "hey girls"
"Tom Hankins?" with a collapse, they both said at once.
"What happened to you girls?"
"How are you here?"
"I had seen someone taking you both here?"
"Oh... no time for explanation... Please release us"
"Yes, yes"
He released Leah and Julie...
They all got out of there without someone noticing and before Dr. John gets back.
Now they all are in Julie's house. Not only the three of them, but there are also Julie's Mom and Dad and the COPS.
As soon as Julie's mom finished giving water and food for the girls the investigation started.
The senior officer had stood up. He moved in a circular motion around the girls.
Julie whispered to Leah "Why is he moving like this?"
Leah suddenly remembered something their physics teacher who wears a nice spectacle and one of their classmate's aunts and their favorite teacher had taught them! And Leah said, " circular motion right?"
"Yep," Julie said.
And the police officer started " Are you girls, remembering how he kidnapped both of you?"
"Of course NO" Leah said
" We both were playing badminton at the school ground and one of the school chefs had given us water and then we both had gone to the bathroom and, that's all we remember"
"Hmm and what about you young man, how do you know that they both were in that place"
" I had seen someone taking them on a car to-"
"He had seen someone taking us through the traffic road in the west, He doesn't know anything else" Suddenly Julie interrupted Tom.
"Okay, tomorrow come on to the office, we're leaving now"
The police officer said and he left.
Julie's dad started " Tom, can you please be here for 30 minutes we both are going to buy CC tv camera's that's why"
"Why not, you both carry on"
"Thank you, Tom. Girls Tom will be with you as a guardian... take care"
"But dad-- Julie was going to say that they don't need a local guardian, but before hearing what his daughter is saying he and Julie's mother had left.
"Oh, what a nice home"
"Thank you, " Leah said with a face which we can understand that she was quite irritating.
"And why had you stopped me when I was telling the truth to the cops"
"We'll tell you," Julie said
"Julie a word?" Leah said and dragged Julie to the corner of the room.
"Are you going to say about our investigation to him?" Leah asked
"We don't have a choice"
"Fine"
And they both walked towards him and said all at once
"We have something to tell you"
