As the danger was high, so was the reward associated with it. Anyone who entered the labyrinth and safely brought the prince outside would be awarded five low Experience Cores and a medal from the Kingdom.
The medal wasn't a simple reward; it had real effects. The medal bearer could ask the Kingdom for its help once. Since the medal would be of the lowest level, the user could summon a helper between Level 1 and Level 3, and the Kingdom couldn't refuse that.
Anyway, the challenger couldn't refuse the challenge until Level 4, so Huo Jinglin had no choice in that case at all.
