Clarkson belonged to the Surjans and was one of the overlord races of not only the Demon Group but also the Sacred Dimension. The reason Clarkson wanted a Goliath Ironback had to do with their fighting talent.
The Goliath Ironbacks were one of the best if not the best combatant race in the Sacred Dimension and were the perfect match for Surjans, who relished battles and liked to fight powerful opponents.
