Leaving the area sounded easier than killing the group, but it wasn't. If Maria chose the first option, even a little mistake would bring her down. Similarly, the second option was not any less challenging.

Maria's eyes suddenly turned cold as she couldn't live the life that she was living in the Primal Dimension before the store's arrival. She was tired of hiding from other people.
"If death is what awaits me on the other side, then let it be my first challenge to death," Maria calmly mumbled, as she had already decided to fight back.
Even though she had decided to fight back, it didn't mean she would charge at the group like this. There was a difference between fighting and sacrificing.
Maria needed to separate the group if she wanted to survive and kill her pursuers.
