'Have I finally reached the end?' Aakesh couldn't help but think as this was the only explanation for why there wasn't any stair.
When Aakesh reached the one hundred and seventh step, he still saw a never-ending stair, so its disappearance came as a surprise to him.
For a moment, Aakesh thought that it could be an illusion. But soon, he rotated the minuscule amount of the element of Nihility he could control, and the surroundings stayed the same. After activating the Energy Overseer, if Aakesh were to look at himself right now, he would have seen two colorless light dots.
Since the surroundings had no change, Aakesh could firmly believe that it wasn't an illusion, and he had actually reached the end of the stair at the one hundred and eighth step.
