Chapter 3 - 2-Perfect, babe

ETHAN'S POINT OF VIEW

«Calm down, asshole!» - Ian throws a quick glance at my hands clenched in two fists, while my noche turn white and ready to smash the door that I find myself in front of.

She could only live in a fucking luxurious mansion that only a doctor's daughter can afford.

Even the air around this house makes me want to throw up, but my friend is right.

I have a past that would scare even the devil and I can take all this luxury, but I don't know if I will be able to handle her.

I snap my head up as the door swings open, but my breathing begins to become erratic, so much so that Ian notices it and nudges me before the woman in front of us throws the door open.

I drop my shoulders and frown when I realize that it is not her, but a straight dark haired one, who moves her eyes several times between me and my friend.

«Hi, we're here for the interview.» - the man next to me takes the floor before the girl can start speaking, while my grimace becomes more and more annoyed.

Where is she ?!

I know every detail of that woman as if I have known her for a lifetime, but I did not know that she lived in the company of somebody else.

I would recognize her among a thousand faces, as much as I have studied her face in these days: I know every defect in her body, starting from her ridiculous fiery curls.

14. He has 14 nieces scattered all over her body and always shows them off, uncovering her neck with her skimpy clothes, which leave nothing to the imagination.

But that's not the only thing I hate about her, and even those few virtues she has make her despicable.

"Oh." - the brunette moves to the side, lowering her head to let us in, but as she moves away inside to be followed, I take the opportunity to address my friend:

"Who the fuck is this?" - I whisper in a furious tone, realizing that I have missed something, but he just follows her with his eyes:

"Meredith Ramsey." - he sighs, and then gives me a quick glance:

"They live together."

I clench my jaw at his words.

Not good at all. The woman in front of me positions herself on the sofa, inviting us with her eyes to do the same, while I begin to study her to see if she can complicate things, even if she doesn't seem dangerous at all.

She doesn't even have the guts to look me in the eye for more than five minutes, focusing more on Ian, which makes me realize it's going to be fun.

I have always liked playing with shy girls and I bet this one will let herself go like the others.

At least I'll have a toy to let off steam with. One of many.

I start looking around to analyze the inside of the house, wondering why I decided to share the villa with two roommates.

"We are interested in this house." - Ian starts talking with the usual slapping face, even if, I hate to admit it, he doesn't pretend and he is really a good man, so much that he tried to convince me to give up my revenge, but he did not withdraw and decided to help me anyway.

He will help me humiliate that woman to get what she deserves. Her and her father.

"I understand." - the brunette nods like Ian, then glances quickly in my direction, but I have no way to breathe to embarrass her, that the sound of the door opening echoes in the living room, making me lift my chin instantly, as soon as a shrill voice makes me make a grimace of annoyance:

"Here I am!" - her tone goes straight to my ears making the blood boil in my veins.

It's her.

Valerie Cooper.

Hardin Edward Cooper's daughter.

I grit my teeth without turning on her side, while the deafening noise of her shoes begins to annoy me already.

I feel her getting closer and closer behind me to go around the sofa, while a sweet smell begins to fill my nostrils.

"Sorry I'm late ..." - I keep my head down, really wanting to hurt her just by looking at her, then rest my elbows on my knees and run a hand through the locks of hair to bring them back.

My heartbeats slow down when she suddenly stops in front of me:

"But you are ..." - she begins to stammer, forcing me to restrain the desire to leave this house suddenly:

"... men." - her tone seems very perplexed, but Ian hurries to intervene.

What did she expect? Could two girls her age be willing to pay $ 4,000 a month's rent?

Besides being spoiled, she's also irritating, which won't help me at all.

"We are," - my friend clears his throat, and then continues embarrassed: "we are interested in this house."

I take advantage of the fact that she is talking to Ian to slowly raise her head, clenching her fingers again in two fists to mask the anger, but as soon as I do that I notice that her eyes are not on the man beside me.

As I meet her green eyes with a stern look, I catch her staring at me curiously, but she jumps when my eyes end up in hers, dilating slightly in amazement.

When I realize that maybe I'm intimidating her, I avert my eyes to slide them along her body, noticing that she is wearing one of the usual tight skirts and a banal shirt tucked under it, which highlights her barely pronounced breasts.

She's a mess from head to toe and tries to hide behind clothes that cost more than this villa.

"Let's hear it." - I see her slowly shake her head, then return her eyes to Ian, crossing her arms over her chest after throwing the banal lawyer's case on the sofa.

I raise an eyebrow at her defiant tone, watching her sit next to the brunette with a proud expression:

"Why should I share a house with two unknown men?" - she asks unscrupulously, but as soon as my friend is about to explain politely, I interrupt him and interfere, without being able to hold back the hatred:

"Because your father has stopped covering your ass and you can not give up the manicure ..." - I can not finish that Ian pulls me a strong elbow, but my eyes do not leave those of the redhead, who opens her mouth wide and swollen her cheeks in an offended grimace.

"No, listen." - my friend tries to intervene, but she takes the floor again:

"How the fuck do you dare!" - she stands up, followed by her friend who tries to calm her down and make her sit down.

I keep an annoyed expression, straightening my back when I see her walking in my direction, even risking to fall before bending to my height, pointing her index finger at me as she whispers a few inches away from my face in a stern tone :

"You." - she blows on my face, while a smell of berries floods my nostrils:

"You don't know me."

If it wasn't part of my plan to make her suffer, now I'd say she's almost adorable, trying to get her nails out, even knowing better than me that she's a fucking daddy daughter.

I do not stop piercing her with my eyes, as I stand up to look at her from above.

She raises her head slowly, realizing she is too short compared to me, even though she wears heels that raise her half a meter off the floor, but try not to notice it and raise her chin arrogantly, without moving an inch and waiting my reaction.

I raise an arm to her face, while she follows my gesture with the corner of her eye and without saying a word.

I look carefully at every detail of her face, starting to count the little brown spots almost to make sure they are all there, even if it is different to have her face two millimeters from mine, rather than a picture of her.

I grab a rebellious hedgehog from her messy hair between the index and middle fingers, stretching that kind of spring that is found between my fingers, and then let it withdraw and return to its place, while her eyes remain fixed on mine, looking at me from below with a mock stern expression.

"We are no longer interested in this house." - I say so calmly that I am even amazed at my acting skills.

"What?" - Ian stands beside me instantly, standing up like the brunette in front of him, who is slightly perplexed and hurries to grab the redhead by the arm and pull her slightly to him, but the woman in front of me does not move an inch, analyzing my words mentally, probably realizing that she cannot do without me and my friend.

I decide not to give her enough time to think or find another solution, so I pass her and leave her perplexed in the middle of the living room.

If I thought I was going to be dealing with a shy and innocent little girl, I have to change my mind, as she is a spoiled child and more bitchy than I would have thought

I begin to walk away without being followed by Ian, as if he has understood that it is only a drama, while I wait for that woman to call my attention at any moment.

The silence that begins to reign in the living room begins to worry me, as I look up at the wooden door, now a few meters away.

Come on, fuck!

I run a hand through my hair to ruffle it as I recognize Ian's footsteps behind me. More than frustrated, I clench my jaw and grab the door handle with one hand, but just as I begin to lose hope, her annoying voice interrupts me:

"Wait!"

I raise a corner of my mouth and grit my teeth in satisfaction at her exclamation.

Perfect, babe.
