Chapter 12 - The Universe of Sunaru

In the universe of Sunaru, a unique tradition existed. Whenever a child was born, they were taken to an open field during a full moon's night. Left there until midnight, these infants were bathed in the moonlight, an age-old ritual uninterrupted for millennia.

One particularly special night deviated from the norm. A sudden crack echoed throughout the space, diverting every gaze towards a massive pit that had formed in the land. The immediate concern, however, wasn't the pit but the mysterious force that started to inundate the world of Sunaru.

Sunaru's universe contrasted starkly with Earth. If Earth represented the positive pole of a magnet, Sunaru was its negative counterpart. Their coalescence would spell disaster for both.

While everyone in Sunaru possessed teleportation magic, there were boundaries. Distances spanned rooms, houses, or at best, towns. Yet Roger stood as an anomaly. His teleportation potential knew no bounds, a fact he remained oblivious to due to his cursed sleep-teleportation episodes. Whenever he drifted to slumber, Roger would unconsciously teleport, sometimes even outside the city. On occasions, his destructive curse would trigger, wreaking havoc in its wake.

Unbeknownst to him, a unique seal was applied to Roger as a toddler. While it was customary for all children in Sunaru to bear a temporary seal to contain their burgeoning teleportation abilities, Roger's seal was permanent. After a couple of years with the seal, Roger was exiled to the remote island he currently inhabits.

Originally, the island's teleportation circle was designed to be one-directional, ensuring Roger received necessary supplies. However, when a disheartened Roger inadvertently modified the circle's structure with his rock throw, its fundamental nature shifted. Initially designed to bring items in, the circle now possessed the capability to send things out. But for two decades, Roger never contemplated this possibility, conditioned by years of confinement. And now, with the potential escape route right before him, he remained unaware.

Will Roger discover this newfound avenue? Or will the confines of the island and dwindling rations lead to his demise in the forthcoming weeks?
