In Akuro Zaizen's entire lifetime he'd never considered the idea of a god existence, much less multiple gods or demons for that matter. He'd only considered them to be things of lore and anime and video games. Now he was one of the strongest beings in existence and he fought on the same plane as gods, Titans and Demons. It was like having an extremely vivid dream.
He'd never thought of himself as a strong person, nor did he ever think he would be. In life, he was weak, he knew it. He could hardly stand on his own two feet, as though if he tried his bones would shatter and he'd crumble away to dust. When he was given a second chance at life, he told himself he'd never be weak again, he'd never lose the ones he loved, but he also knew that to be strong, emotions were something that would only get in the way.
"Turn it all off.." he'd tell himself. "Let it all go, be a cold machine" he'd say. He would shut down all of his emotions and become dead and cold. And now he was more than a god, more than a Deity. He was the most powerful being in the world, in the universe, in all of reality, and he'd prove it. He'd destroy everything in his path. He'd never be put down again. Nothing would be in his way. He was above it all, and he was the one true ruler of this reality he lived in.
He was… the Omnipotent Death.
Akuro stood, motionless, in a massive crater, his arms hanging limp and his head dropped as he hunched over, blood running down his arms as his chains dangled against his skin. Smoke curled up from his skin as his wounds slowly closed over. His Aura Cloak was cracked and torn, half of his mask shattered, revealing his glowing red eye as he glared up at the god across from him, in a much similar state.
The battlefield was scorched and filled with craters from the massive chunks of rock thrown off of he moon. Massive meteors sat, sizzling, in the earth all about the land from the shattered moon. One crater larger than all the others, swallowing almost the entire landmass, sat at the center of the battlefield, a god and the incarnation of death standing in the depression across from one another glaring each other down.
The real moon hung high in the sky, casting an eerie pale glow across the clouds of smoke billowing into the air. The ghostly light illuminated the figures below as aura once again filled the air with tension, a tension that made the air itself vibrate and hum with energy.
"I never expected…" Moorza spoke, breaking the silence, "that I'd ever find a being who could match my strength. Heh.. you actually managed to make me go all out. That hasn't happened for… a long time."
Akuro was silent, standing absolutely still, saying not a single word.
"It too bad really.." Moorza said, leaning back with a sigh. "That I have to finish this here. You see, I didn't come alone. I'd love to soar more with you but… I've got a job to do."
"Yes, a job. We must annihilate every last being on this stretch of land. Especially you." Came a voice.
"Don't forget the Archdemons, dear sister." Came another voice.
It was the two from before, the ones in cloth. They stood at the lip of the crater, the boy holding a massive sword in either hand while the girl hunched over, blades dangling from thin ropes about her body.
"Yes, yes… now let's kill him.." the girl spoke, grabbing at the blades, the cold metal cutting her hands. "I want to slice him open.."
"Calm yourself, Nezzra. We can't be reckless. We both know this one is quite capable." The boy said.
"Shut it, Nerrik. I don't care.."
"Enough, you two." Moorza interrupted. "Nerrik is write, do not be wreckless."
Akuro suddenly twitched, his hand going up to his face and covering his eyes. He began to chuckle, then threw his head back in hysterical laughter.
"What's so amusing, boy?" Moorza asked.
"'Used your all'? Hahaha! I'm disappointed, is that really all you've got? Your little moon trick? And now your calling some friends…" he leaned forward, his head tilting to the side, his mask recovering in wisps of shadow as his crimson eyes locked on Moorza. "Sorry to tell you.. but I've only just begun.."
Black aura suddenly exploded out from Akuro's body as he laughed maniacally.
"IVE BEEN HOLDING THIS IN FOR A LONG TIME!!" He roared in a crazed tone, "YOU SHOULD FEEL LUCKY TO SEE THIS!!! YOU ARE ABOUT TO SEE ME AT MY ALL!!"
"What… where did he get all this power from…" Moorza asked in shock.
Both Nezzra and Nerrik suddenly collapsed to their knees under the pressure of Akuro's aura, the earth shattered open and the air rang out with an ear splitting screech as vibrations ran across the battlefield.
Akuro suddenly went cold, his laughter ceasing as he stood straight, cold and emotionless.
"Die.."
He raised his hand and black aura shot out of massive cracks in the ground as the earth itself shifted upwards, an immense plate of earth rising out of the ground, as if Akuro had caused tectonic plates to slam together and create a mountain, which he lifted high into the dark sky before he clenched his fist and black flames engulfed the rock, breaking it down into smaller bits that then rained down on the world below like black meteorites that struck the ground and caused it to ripple and erupt into chaotic masses of black flames and rock. It was like Akuro had literally summoned an apocalypse from the sky.
Moorza dashed out of sight, a mere blur as he flew to Nerrik and Nezzra. When he reached them he threw up a shield of silver light which shook violently whenever it was struck by one of the black meteors.
"Hiding won't work." Akuro hissed. "Stay there. Die for me."
He raised both hands into the air, black aura coiling in his palms before enlarging to a massive size, a black hole that blotted out the moon and the sky.
"This is the end. This is your reckoning, the fate that all gods shall meet." His red eyes flashed. "Death at my hands."
Red light suddenly mixed into the ball of aura before Akuro waved his hand down and it came down like an asteroid striking the earth, but when it made contact there was no tremor, no violent quaking of the earth, no explosion. It was like he'd simply thrown a black hole, swallowing everything it touched and obliterating it into nothing, wiping the land itself out of existence. A moment later, the ball shrank down suddenly, condensing to a small point before blasting violently outwards in red light that swallowed everything the moon's light touched.
When the explosion faded out, it was as if the world had been terraformed, the entire strip of land nothing more than a crater, save for a tall pillar that Fort Arashi sat atop. As well as a faint silver light.
"Im surprised you could survive that." Akuro spoke, his tone cold and emotionless as he descended towards the wall of light. As he landed on the ground, the earth shattered under his feet from the sheer pressure of his aura, anything that came even near to him was torn apart.
Akuro slowly walked towards the silver wall, and when he reached it, he simply raised his hand and put his finger on it, which caused it to shatter to nothing. Inside was revealed Moorza, standing over his two unconscious allies. He had both hands raised, his chakram held out in front of him and his legs shaking. He seemed to be struggling just to stand near Akuro.
"What.. are you..?" He asked.
"Why does everyone ask that?" Akuro hissed. "Isn't it obvious by now? I am the Omnipotent Death. I am the strongest being in this reality."
Moorza scoffed. "You're strong, that's for certain. But you are by no means the strongest. I know many who could defeat you."
"Then why haven't they?" Akuro asked simply. "Do they not consider me a threat? Because they should. I'm coming for them, I'm coming for all of you. Every god that exists will fall by my hand."
"Yeah? And then what? What will you do after that? Will you be the one to watch over and guide the dead? Will you be the one to run the world? How will you, alone, take on all the responsibilities of the gods?" Moorza countered. "Believe it or not, everything would fall apart without the gods. We run this entire reality, as you put it. Without us everything would fall apart."
"I can see the death of every being in existence, I see all of them." Akuro spoke.
"Your point?"
"I am Death. Watching over the dead will be my responsibility. I have allies. I will be the one to rule this reality. Me alone. I will lead everything, I will bring on a new age, an age where every mortal being had true control over their own lives. Not ruled by some greedy fucks."
Moorza sneered. "Your speaking useless idealism. You are naïve. It's impossible to do all that alone."
"I was also told it was impossible to challenge the gods. I was told it was impossible to be king of hell. Now look at me." Akuro's eyes narrowed. "No one can challenge my power."
"Heh." Moorza's feet shifted. "We will see about that."
Moorza spun, swinging his chakram at Akuro, who simply rose his hand, catching the weapon in between two fingers, and as soon as it made contact with his skin the weapon shattered.
His eyes widening, Moorza backed off.
"What?! How?!"
"I told you." Akuro hissed. "I am the Omnipotent Death. No one can defeat me."
Moorza grit his teeth, then dashed at Akuro, swinging for a slash with talons of aura, but as soon as they came near Akuro, not only did the talons shatter, but his entire arm cracked and twisted before exploding at the elbow, the entire lower arm blasting into little bits.
Letting out a groan of pain, Moorza leapt away from Akuro.
"Fine then.." the god growled. "I don't usually go this far, but you seem to be a special case.."
Akuro's head tilted. "Oh? You can actually entertain me more then?"
"Oh, I'll do more than entertain!"
Suddenly silver light began to envelop Moorza's body, which began to shift and change, growing larger while also enlarging as he floated into the air. As his body changed and got bigger and bigger, shards of silver light descended from the sky like pieces of a shattered shell, revealing a massive, coiling silver dragon.
