It was past 9:00pm in the evening as Diana was playing candy crush saga on her phone in her room without any cares when she heard a knock on the door " come in " she answered without raising her head from he phone then a maid walked in and said "young miss , master Leonard calls for your attention as he says it's urgent" , Diana replied without lifting her head from her phone "everything he calls me for is an urgent matter , even to talk to me is an urgent matter so why add the ' its urgent' part when everything that concerns him is urgent " she replies as she chuckles , the maid didn't know what to say as she just stood there drawing circles on the floor then Diana says after some minutes"okay , tell him I'm coming" and the maid bows and walks away ....
After some minutes , Diana walks out of her room and then she realized she didn't ask where her father was and then after checking his room and some places he's commonly at , she goes to his study room then softly knocks then she hears "come in " she opens the door and enters then she heard her father say " I told you it was urgent , why did you waste so much time coming here ?" he asks with a grown on his face , then Diana answered "I forgot to ask where you were so I had to check some places before coming here " , he then sighed and said "you couldn't even think to check my study room first " , then Diana reasoned and answered"well , that didn't occur to me at first " , then he answered " nothing ever occurs to you" then murmured inside " I was hoping for a change " . Then after some minutes of silence he said " anyway I called you here because there is something urgent we have to discuss , I'm getting old and I need a a successor to my company and apparently" he said as he looked her up and down then continued "you're the only one that I just had to give birth to , you have to start managing the company and stop playing around like a child , partying day and night , even if you knew how to properly sign a cheque , or at least manage some accounts or some properties of ours , even if it's another arm of business under our company I would've being satisfied but no , you don't know how to and that's not even the worst thing in your situation , you don't even want to learn how to do it " he said in sheer annoyance. Diana wasn't offended at all because , after he's right then she replied"then just give me a chance I can-" she was cut off by her father " don't you even dare mention the words "chance " and "I can " , you don't need me to remind you what happened when I gave you a chance to manage just one arm of our businesses, I thank heavens I didn't give you any other one " said with a look that says ' I'm sure I don't need to shake that rusty head of yours darling' . Yes , he doesn't need to remind her , because everyday's a reminder as the stocks are still reducing as we speak right now , the management is still trying to revive the business...
" Diana , we need to be serious right now because you're already engaged to the son of one of my friends and the son is already managing his father's business , infact it's ten times better than the way it was before , but look where you've ended up " , her father complained , and Diana was dumbfounded " s-since when was I engaged ? , how can I be engaged without me knowing and worst of all to the person that bullied me when we were in school!!!" she stammered , her father replied calmly " your mother and I with his parents have already discussed it and he doesn't mind anyway , we just didn't have time to tell you as we where busy trying handle a business that was messed up by someone I know " and Diana averted her gaze from him as she suddenly started coughing. " so this time around , I'm very serious , all the times when I let you off the hook was child's play so starting tommorow morning , I'm chairman and you're CEO , under my watch , so you're to be in every single meeting with me , and here's your schedule" he says as he drops a file on the table , " your assistant will be here one hour before the time you need to go to work tomorrow to wake you up and make sure you get ready , see you tomorrow in the CEO's office , ba bye " he said as he waved at her shooing her out of his study room and he continued what he was doing...
Diana walked out looking stunned and surprised , but little did she know that her life would be like a comedy reality show from tommorow onwards ...
