The sky was dark when I reached the sports building to meet Yana, giving me a sense of foreboding. I waited by the entrance, hoping she wouldn’t get caught in the coming rain.
Something happened. Or will happen. It was strange to know something, and yet not understand anything. It was just a feeling. A feeling so strong I could immediately perceive it as truth.
The scent of rain had already reached my senses even before tiny splatters sounded on the roof, the trees, and the grass; making the leaves dance.
A flash crossed the sky, followed by a deep rumble. The droplets were speeding up and multiplying every second. In the blur, I saw a cargo truck pass in front of me, turning left to the back of the building. Vehicles entering the campus through the second gate follow a one-way route.
