The funny thing about time is that we only notice it when it’s gone. Oftentimes, we are carried off to a place with an invisible carriage, not realizing how far we’ve come, nor how we have come to it. We only know what is happening the moment we have arrived. And that for us—what we have at the moment—is the thing we should accept.
If only we could hold on to the dearest times a little bit longer. If only we could decide on how things would turn out, then maybe we’d always be happy. But it doesn’t happen that way. We’re not always meant to be happy.
I was thinking of such things as I sulked in my seat two to three meters from Yana. I felt helpless as all I could do was to gaze at her from afar.
Student Board members should be sitting in front, our class adviser informed us of the new class policy starting this year. I had nothing against it; except for the fact that Yana and I couldn’t be seatmates anymore. What a bummer.
