They say it was uncommon to snow in London, and when it does, it doesn’t stay long enough to pile up. Today, however, I had to pretend that white specks were falling, dusting the top of English Oak trees lined along the brick road before they’d land on my clothes.
I was particular with my outfit for today. I was aiming for a classic look with my newly bought beige coat and white sweater underneath, matched with black pants and boots. Cam suggested that I wear a red beanie hat and a scarf so that they would stand out in the bleak afternoon, which I did. And I hoped it would look good on camera.
I shoved my hands down my coat pockets as I stretched my freezing legs to warm up.
“Whenever you’re ready,” Cam signaled. She was positioned a few paces away from me, making sure to capture the Main Building in the background. The red blinking light on her videocam was telling me it had started recording.
