“Good night, Gran,” Rin and I said to Grandma Josie as she slowly made her way to her room. We were only halfway through ‘Ikaw ang Langit Ko’, a teleserye on primetime TV, when we’d noticed her already dozing off in her rocking chair.
“She usually sleeps around 9. She must be tired today,” Rin commented as she switched off the TV, taking a quick glance at her grandmother who just entered the room next to the living area.
It was only 8:40 p.m. and it was our turn to head upstairs when I noticed Rin smiling as she switched on the lights over the stairs.
