“That-” He looked directly into my eyes while I spoke, “I’ve never heard of a disease like that.” I gulped, “How can a person be a cure for a disease?”
That wasn’t possible.
It just felt too odd but, when I looked into his eyes I felt like they were telling me he wasn’t lying. There was this strange desperation hidden in them. There was something there I couldn’t quite understand.
“Like I said.” He whispered, “It’s a very very rare disease.” He sighed softly, “Over the course of history only a handful of people had it.”
“What happened to them?” I asked in a quiet tone.
“They died.” He answered in a dead serious voice.
“What?” His answer felt too straight forward and it shocked me.
“They couldn’t find the cure.” I let go of his hands.
“None of them?” I frowned.
