"You made a sudden visit, what for?" I asked Nikolas.
"Nothing, I just miss the girl that I dreamed of." He answer and combined our hands.
"Tsk, you always said that to me." Mumbled and smiled.
"Really, why did you do a sudden visit," I repeated the question.
"Alright, mom wants to send her regards and thanks to you for doing everything," Nikolas explained.
I nodded and smiled in force.
"Nikolas! Heart! Let's eat, lunch is ready!" My sister shouted as she call out our names.
"Okay!" We screamed together and laughed at the end of our words.
"You still didn't change. After all these years, you're still the girl I knew before." He complimented.
"Was that a joke? HAHHHAHAHAH," I laughed and dragged him way back to our house.
We walk, run, and laughed while we were heading to our house. Got a little chit-chat and went back to being a quiet person, again.
"Come here, you little lover. You both didn't say that you'll have this kind of sweetness inside." My auntie murmured and laugh.
"They're always like that auntie. You should practice being used to their sweetness," My little brother giggles.
"Enough, let's eat HAH HAHAHA." I interrupt them.
The food is all ready and got a little flesh of family bonding. Hills foods are better than eating fast food in the city.
Well, it's way easier and fast to cook. You could just order it and then someone will cook those for you.
After that, here's your order ma'am. Simple and basic right, that's what everyone likes about fast-food chains in the city.
"So how's senior high school, Nikolas?" My mom suddenly opened up a topic.
I was a bit shocked by her question but that doesn't give thoughts on me after.
"It went well and smooth, auntie." He answered and continued eating his food.
"Ohh, that's good to hear. So what are your plans on proceeding to college?" Dad joined the conversation and paused a while.
"Any plans for strands and courses to choose?" He continued.
"I have plans on taking up medicine or Legal management," Nikolas answered full of strength in his words.
"Hmm, that good. Legal management is where politics and laws were put right?" My dad asked to assure me his words is right.
"Yes, uncle. How about Heart, what course will she behaving in the next school year." He suddenly asked and made our silence.
"I don't know if Hearts still wanted to continue going to college. Since she's every day on our farm," My mom Mumbled and cut some fruits.
"College is the last process for, it would be better uncle if she could finish college and took the board exams," Nikolas mumble in disagreement.
"I know, we all know about that Niko. Still, it's my daughter's decision she could just stop helping us on our farm and just focused on her studies." Dad is startled and eats his food gently.
"I'm planning to took up nutritionist before I proceed in pastry chef's," I joined the conversation.
All of them were just nodding their heads and smiled before continuing to eat their food.
Nikolas was still talking with my dad and mom. While I and my sister were busy tackling my course to get in colintoge.
She said it was a bit hard because of the financial cause of our situation right now. I just said that she doesn't need to worry about it.
They don't need to worry about the course that I'm planning to took up when I reach college. It's already planned and it could happen if I do work hard.
My friends planned to study in the city. This means they would all like to take the entrance exams at Ateneo De Manila, University of Santo Thomas, and more.
It has all good learnings and is such a beautiful university to study nutritionists before proceeding to pastry chefs.
As we finish eating our lunch, Niko and I decided to go to the top of our farm which had a beautiful view.
That was our favorite place way back in high schools days. In that place where he asked me to be his girlfriend and so I said yes.
A happy ending that I ever thought of in my whole life turns into this. Now we've become new to ourselves because we both grow. Parted.
"Came here," Niko uttered and grabbed my hands so he could pull it together.
We were climbing so we could reach the beautiful sunset. When we reach the top, Niko and I were laughing.
Admiring each other's bravery. Everything that we kept together is a lie and not good to continue anymore.
"When should we tell them?" I asked facing the whole wide area of the hills.
Niko sat down in the grass and sign me to sit down too. I nodded and smiled bitterly.
"Until you're ready to tell them," He uttered and hugged me in the back.
"It's making me feel guilty about showing them that we are still together and fine," paused.
"My parents, our parents should have known about our breakup. They also have a rig right now, it's been 3 year's Niko." I continued.
Facing the sky as he was holding my hands like we still are having the same feelings for each other. Yes, we broke up 3 years ago and we didn't let our parents know about it.
Nikolas and I wanted to make it secret, and just let the time decide to tell them what happened. There's no third party, nor cheating.
All we know was we fault out of love for each other and just remained best friends to each other. The way he treat me before is just like the way he treats me right now.
Niko didn't change at all, he's still the man I know in my past and become one of my loved ones.
"Niko look! It's starting! It's now starting!" Screamed in excitement and happiness.
He helped mento stand and grabbed my hips before he went in my back to hug me tightly.
I can't help but to smile. We use to be like this and that didn't even change to him, to us.
"You're still the sunset I wished to have and own," He uttered as the sun's glittering colors that blended in the sea becomes prettier than ever.
"That was our decision to end those and it cause real good to us. It made our lives easier and we got time to focus on our studies, so don't feel bad about it." I wiped his tears and pinch his chubby cheeks.
"If we parted again in this time. Yet we saw each other soon, you'll remain my first boy best friend. That becomes once a boyfriend to me," My voice startled,d and hug him for the last time.
"Please let me know if you're still single after we graduate college okay?" Niko uttered as he wiped his tears.
"I will, but I don't think we can wait for each other. People were destined to pass by in our lives and become part of it. So if you find someone in there, don't hesitate to pursue it!" I cheer him up and pinch him for the second time.
"Yes, chef!" He yelps and taps my head.
We remained silent and focused on the moves of the sunset. No one move and we just drift to fix our eyes on the sky remembering everything as we imagine.
