Like how he holds my hand begging for me not to leave him in this dark and broken place. "Is this what you really wanted to do?" Alas bravely stood up and wiped his tears away. Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE

Walking on the rough and rocky road in the middle of the hills. Where you could find wild animals and healthy vegetables planted on each farm.

The razing shine and formations of clouds created a beautiful mixture in the sky. It was blended with different colors which made it prettier.

Singing, while I was walking holding the not-so-large basket full of vegetables and fruits. It's our harvest day, and everyone is expecting my new cook foods.

Simply food can everyone eat, cause it's more delicious and healthy when you eat foods came from hills and farms.

Everything is set, the ingredients and some tapper wares to use to where should my cooked food be put.

I smiled while still crossing the long bamboo bridge. It's funny, how I usually slipped on this bridge before and found myself falling into the lake.

That's normal, everyone thinks it's all normal. To tell you all, it's not easy to fall came from a long bridge down to the lake.

Sometimes I used a boat to go to the other part of our place. Instead of crossing the large and long bridge, it causes me trauma but hot recovered already.

"Heart!" My sister called.

"Moira!" I scream back to call her name too.

She continue her work while I was walking towards the door of our small house. We live in a simple place and life, normally some of our relatives didn't finish high school or college.

So as for my side, I do pursue and did hard work so I could graduate high school and go to college.

"What is this? Another recipe to try?" My mom in his farmer outfit asked while wiping her sweat.

I smiled at her before answering my mom's questions.

"Dad said to cook another version of the food. So I tried to get some fruits on our farm to cook and try another recipe," Mumbled in excitement.

"That's good, now prepare that all. I still need to go to your dad so I could help him with harvesting," Mom uttered and wearing her native hat.

"Okay mom, I'll go there after I cook this snack for everyone." A smile formed in my mouth and kissed her cheeks before she went out of our house.

The hot touch of the sun on my skin rubbed on my whole body. Well, I'm used to this because this is our kind of living.

My mom and dad are farmers and so am I and my three sisters and one brother. We are five siblings living together with our parents and working hard in our rice field and farm.

We're all thriving for food until one of us finished college. I'm in my last year in senior high school and it's getting harder for me to work.

There are lots of subjects to study and I still have to help my parents in thriving and find some money so we could buy our daily needs.

I parted those vegetables and cut them into square shapes while I put some water and salt on the fruits that I harvest so those worms and bacteria will be dead.

It's way better than just washing those in the sink and letting them dry on the table. It should be stayed in the water with salt for a minute before you could eat it.

That way is our way to clean veggies and fruits that came from our garden and farm. It's not a waste of time because it will help us to eat clean foods instead of dirty foods.

First, I chop those strawberries and apples before I put them in a large container. After that, I mixed some hot water and nestle cream before adding some sugar and evaporated milk to it.

It takes delicious, its a bit sweet but so I put some salt to maintain the calories on it and the sweetness.

As I was putting some icing on the top of the cake. My little brother called me caused me to stop for a bit and give a check on him.

Walking through the floor of our old house made of bamboo and covered with coconut long leaves.

"Dino, what is it?" Asked in confusion.

He looked at me for a while like he didn't know what to say. Before he turned his head in front of our door and that made me confused again.

When I drift my eyes in the door and saw the man standing like a model on the television. He was smiling and purely looking at me like he was wanting to touch me.

"Hi," He speaks.

"Niko!" Yelp is in shock as I reach for him and hug him tightly.

My sister laughed so as my parents and my little brother. They do know that Nikolas was coming and didn't even let me know about it.

"Y'all know about this?" Asked in sadness.

"Sorry," They all uttered in a teasing tone.

"Nikolas said not to tell you, because it's a surprise. He didn't even tell you either," My sister mumbled and wink at me.

"That is way unfair to me," I pouted.

Nikolas smiled and held my chin so he could kiss my forehead. At first, I thought he would kiss me on my lips but he didn't.

He was my first boyfriend since we were in high school until we reach senior high school.

There are no times that he didn't visit our house even if he knows that I only lived in a simple family.

I'm not rich but he is, and even my parents told me to distance myself from him because we don't have the same level in life.

Though that was the perspective of my parents, it's way different from Nikolas's parents. His mom and dad are humble and hands-on with everyone.

All his sibling's husbands and wives came from a simple families just like mine. But it was way different for now, because unlike those girls that his brother marry.

All of them had a bit-level in living but simple. Then for me, I'm just a farmer in the hills and nothing else. No money, no time to do but some beautiful dresses and a cell phone.

There are times when Nikolas invites me to join the party in their family and his mom is expecting me to come.

I doubt myself about being in there. It's like that, I'm not one of them because I will never be one of them.

Maybe if I was born rich and beautiful just like the other girls in this world. Thought that I could also do what they can do right now.

Without even thinking about losing a lot of money or way like buying a lot of dresses and bags without looking at how the price is.

Like how will that life be mine? Or is it my turn not yet. Cause if not, I'm still waiting for it.
