Chereads / Changing The Fate of A Villain Extra / Chapter 38 - Eight Trigrams Urn

Chapter 38 - Eight Trigrams Urn

Unknowingly when you work hard, time flew by faster and it almost a week since Ares went inside the dungeon.

Currently, he was butchering the monsters he had collected inside the dungeon and taking the ingredients he needed.

"This eye is really helpful" Ares muttered while touching his left eye slightly.

His dark purple eye seemed to be able to see better inside the fog and it also seem to have an ability to see monsters' weaknesses.

"I never knew the original Ares had this ability but since he was considered a strong villain so it isn't that impossible."

As the current Ares, he decided to slowly explore what his body potential is. He already decided to live longer in his second life thus being a villain is out of the question.

Since this world is far more interesting than his previous world, it wasn't wrong to spend time exploring all the wonders of this world slowly while also getting stronger to protect himself better.

Thus, being immune to poison is one of the ways to avoid getting killed easily. Since he was killed by poison in his last life, he was really interested in poison immunity. After reading various books, he suddenly remembered the method to forcefully obtain poison immunity in a short amount of time in the novel.

"The Eight Trigrams Urn method"

Since the novel isn't an encyclopedia, the precise ingredients weren't stated in detail but based on the description of the method, Ares decided to combine it with the information he got from all the books he read.

From what he knew, consuming Orbs of Fire is the first step to obtaining immunity to poison.

Zanuki did feed their children fire orbs after they awakened their mana to amplify their fire attributes and made them resistant to fire but it was unknown why the original Ares never had any fire orbs. Thus after knowing that, I decided to do it myself.

The Fog Forest dungeon seemed to be divided into a few parts where different monsters resided.

The dungeon was divided into different poisonous parts like living organism poison, Fire poison, ice poison, metal poison and corpse poison.

All types of Mambas lived in the living organism poison while Fiery Lizards and Firecracker Goats lived in fire poison.

Each monster from each part of the dungeon provided the different ingredients needed for the Eight Trigrams Urn.

The second condition to obtain poison immunity is to consume poisons directly.

"Since I already consume all the fire orbs I could find, it is now time to consume the poison," Ares said after he consume the last fire orbs.

Eris once told him that Ares might be able to breathe out fire from his mouth like a dragon after he consumed the fire orbs and it did work but that's not his purpose.

Ares looked at all the ingredients he had collected for the past few days.

•Bone spear carved out of the ribs of a firework mountain goat x13

•Small shield made from crushing a fire •Salamander skull x21

•Bloody mamba's poisonous fang x1

•Firework tigers burned toenails x9

•Ice kite's ice poison beak x1

•Burrowing scorpion stinger x2

•Plague spider poisonous gland x1

He didn't know the detail regarding the ingredients thus he only use his knowledge of how poisonous each ingredient is. The more poisonous it is, the less it should be used since he could die if he was reckless.

However, despite being nervous, he was excited.

Using psychokinesis, all the items started piercing into his body one by one, starting from his heart, lungs, stomach, neck, hands, legs, and back lastly, he consumed the plague spider poisonous gland into his mouth.

His body became paralysed as he lay on the ground twitching in pain.

"Urghhh...."

The pain is a hundred times more painful than the one he experienced in his last life. Black blood started to come out from his seven orifices.

Despite that, his mind still focus on regulating the orbs of fire that he had consumed. Slowly a gulf of fire enveloped his body starting from his heart before a large amount of fire came out of his mouth.

All the black blood that came out became solid before it cracked and vanished into dust after being enveloped by the fire.

To fan the flames of the Eight Trigrams Urn, he needed something that burns and venom burns the best.

It's nothing like using venom as a fire starter to start a big fire. The pure fire that's accumulated within his body. Fire is usually known to push back poison and destroy evil. Since its contained purifying property of a Zanuki, it became a fire that specialized in purification.

The Zanuki didn't know they could achieve poison immunity after consuming fire orbs and other fire cores.

Even their distant relatives that deal with poisons in their blood never expected their family tradition of consuming fire orbs would lead to having absolute poison immunity. They only use the fire to balance out and control their blood poison while believing their fire helped them exterminate demons.

They believe their family was blessed by the Divine Beast Phoenix which produced the strongest holy fire that purified anything evil and impure.

As soon as foreign substances that are trying to harm the body are found it will inevitable, it will burn them to crisp. The stronger the foreign substance, the stronger the fire will burn.

It was unknown who the real inventor of the Eight Trigrams Urn method was since in the novel it only stated that someone asked for knowledge regarding poison from the Tang clan and develop the method with the help of Zanuki's distant relative, Leperon.

As the fire of the Eight Trigrams Urn burns, all foreign substances and accumulated waste also be burned and purified. Currently, Ares's body was at its peak since it had been purified from the inside out.

The method is just like martial arts Bone Marrow Cleansing where Martial artists cleanse all the impurities from their bodies to have a smoother Qi flow and easier to absorb any cultivation technique.

The Eight Trigrams Urn only appear and were created by Zanuki distant relative with the help of the Tang to help Cedric's party to defeat the demon of envy, Antares who was an expert in poison arts. Envy was the right hand of the Demon king thus defeating Antares was crucial in order to get to the demon king.

Since this method will only appear a few years from now, I couldn't let anyone see what I'm doing and that's why I went alone.

Moreover, the current Ares couldn't expose this method since it might disrupt future events.

-Crack crack

While Ares was stretching his body, he could feel his body had become sturdier and stronger. His bone also felt lighter compared to before.

If before he always felt uncomfortable being in contact with poison in the air, currently he didn't feel discomfort since the Right Trigrams Urn is an ultimate poison immunity method.

This means he wouldn't be affected by any poison as long as there is mana in his body. The fire inside his body would always purify anything that harm the body.

"Even though it hurts like hell, the result is great"

It was almost a week since he last contacted anyone thus Ares decided to go out of the dungeon. He didn't care if he had cleared the dungeon or not.

Walking out was a breeze since he didn't encounter any monsters at all. Just before he arrived at the Fog Forest entrance, Ares saw a few people bickering with each other.

"Hey bastard, are you blind?"

Ares looked towards the group of men not far from him and saw a man running hurriedly stumbled into the person before him and the man he stumbled into grabbed his collar.

"Sorry, I'm in hurry please let me go," the man who was being grabbed on the collar looked sick and odd at the same time.

The man who he bumped held his collar and raised his hand to hit him with three people standing beside him.

"Tskk just the typical thugs beating up people" Ares muttered feeling uninterested to keep on watching.

He wasn't a good guy or even a saint thus instead of planning to help the poor guy, Ares wanted to go back to the inn and take a nice shower before going to sleep.

Ares glanced around the area. There were no more people other than them in the area.

He thought the poor guy might have already been knocked unconscious but the opposite happened. The seemingly ordinary sickly looking man still standing straight while the other guys have become unconscious.

"Is the fog around here have become illusion fog that I'm started to see illusions?" Ares muttered.

However, Ares was stunned when he sensed familiar mana around the man. At that moment, he suddenly has the urge to follow that man.

"Since it is still daytime, I can follow him a bit"

Ares knew he had been acting weird these past few days and seemed to follow his heart more and more despite the uncertainty but he couldn't suppress the urge.

The man seemed not to notice that he was being followed. From the Fog Forest entrance, he walked towards a small alley and stood before a shabby looking wooden house.

The house looked like it going to collapse if the people living there were a bit violent.

"Something is fishy with that guy and so does this house" Ares muttered but since he didn't know what was inside he didn't want to go in without any preparation.

The reason he followed that guy was that he sensed demonic energy from him but it was also because of that he didn't dare to recklessly enter a tiger den.

What if there might be a demon inside the shabby looking house.

However, due to curiosity, he went around the area until he stumbled upon a rock with a weird inscription on it not far from the house. There's also an arrow-shaped drawing pointing towards the house.

Ares was stunned looking at the inscription not because it looked weird but because he understood what the inscription means.

He could read it because it was one of his native language writing systems in his previous life called Jawi.

Jawi is a writing system used for writing the Malay language and several other languages of Southeast Asia, such as Acehnese, Banjarese, Kerinci, Minangkabau, Tausūg and Maguindanao.

It used all Arabic letters and five additional letters constructed to fit the phonemes native to Malay. Malay and Arab are different languages thus Arab people can't understand Jawi even though they somehow could read it.

Ares looked at the inscription on the stone that already eroded and became unclear. From the part that he could read, he knew there was something inside the shabby looking house.

[Let your heart always be true to your origin. My only descendant that could read this perfectly, please take your inheritance and fulfil your duty. This is the first one and you need to keep on searching until you reach your fated destiny. I have already given you everything. It's now for you to wake up but never forget who you are.]

Ares was dumbfounded after he finished reading the stone. The words seemed to be telling something but also not telling anything at the same time.

The reason why no one takes the stone must be because they missed it or no one is interested in a stone with a weird inscription on it.

"There might be something inside that house but this stone didn't tell anything" Ares muttered before putting the stone inside his spatial bracelet.

Even though his rationality told him, he couldn't recklessly go inside the house, his heart on contrary urges him due to curiosity especially after he found the stone.

"Hello grandpa. You see, I think I found something interesting at the coordinate I will give you."

In the end, he decided to ask for backup in case something happened to him. As expected his grandpa allows him to do whatever he wants and staying still while waiting for backups is not his consideration.

After he ended the phone call, Ares quickly went in front of the door and knocked on it like a civilised person should do.

"Pft.." Ares chuckled slightly while thinking why he would do something dumb like knocking on a suspicious house door but he still did it anyway.

Hearing no sound or hint of movements from inside the house, Ares opened the door and went inside. The inside of the house was dark without any source of light.

The previous man was nowhere to be seen.

Taking out a torch, the light started illuminating the area and upon seeing his surrounding, Ares started to question his decision once again.

The surrounding that was supposed to be the interior of a house was actually a mini jungle with stone walls as its boundary.

He once again unknowingly entered a dungeon.

"Good, now we have a fucking dungeon gate hidden inside a shabby looking wooden house that is on the verge of collapsing and here I'm, once again entered a dungeon without me knowing" Ares muttered in a sarcastic tone.

If he told other people how he unknowingly entered into dungeons not once but twice, people either didn't believe him and thought he just telling nonsense or they outrightly laugh to his face.

Thick stone wall with large vines with moss covering the wall along with the rotten smell of corpses. It was unknown whether the smell was from monsters' corpses or humans also included. The atmosphere was humid and currently, no monsters were detected.

Looking around the cave forest like dungeon, Ares decided to just go through it since it was obvious someone tried to hide this dungeon.

Since none of the authorities sensed this dungeon, it only means that it was a low-level dungeon or an incomplete artificial dungeon.

"Since I'm here, just grabbed a few things that seemed worthy and then get out. Grandpa's backup team can clean up the rest"

After finished muttering that sentence, trails of blood splashed behind Ares which came from a few green goblins trying to sneak attack him but were instead butchered instantly by Ares's daggers that floating stealthily all around him.

Glancing at the goblin corpse, Ares throw a few fireballs at them and burned them to crisp "This might be fun."
