Chereads / World of magic: Vampiric Reincarnation / Chapter 19 - Chapter 17: City Chaos

Chapter 19 - Chapter 17: City Chaos

A quick note here:

This novel from now on can sometimes contain messages that may offend someone, however, it is a plot [lol] trust me.

Such an example will be radical parties or organisations in this novel.

I don't support them.

I hope you will understand, why I put them in my novel.

Also, ignore my over idealised politics now and in future.

Anyway, that's a quick message that will probably make many people drop this novel.

Oh, also I am sorry for not posting the chapter last week. I had a test in chemistry, Math and Physics, and I am not good at them.

Thanks for reading.

Part 1

Harlow had no idea what was going on, all the things up until now had no sense for him, and this happened as well.

*********

"A-anyway where is this, Biel*?" [I will make a few changes in the names of the character. From now on Albedo is Biel - It comes from the same word, white but in Polish (From word biały/a).]

[It's in a black hole.] She responded] (From now on, I will use this while Biel will talk]

"Wait what?!"

[Just joking, it's your memories core.]

'Huh? Memories core?'

Biel looked at Harlow for a moment, she exactly knew what he was thinking, but she seemed as if she knew nothing.

[A] She made a weird noise.

Her lips were opening and closing again as if she wanted to say something, but couldn't.

Harlow was in such turmoil that until now, he didn't realise the way Biel started to talk.

It was a very human way of talking, unlike the normal Biel that was talking without emotions and before saying anything, she was always saying such things as notice or confirmed.

Her face was pouting.

He finally realised what was going on.

'Aren't you a more human now?'

He asked, and immediately had an answer from Biel.

[Yes!]

Even though it was short, he listened to it.

Biel right now sounded more human than always, it was visible even with that one word he heard.

After that, she began to brag about it to Harlow, how she became more human and all.

In short, the level of skill proficiency of Biel has levelled up for Harlow, and Biel was now more human, yet, she didn't have emotions. She only sounded like so and copied everything from Harlow's past life.

'How can I increase the proficiency tho?' He asked.

She didn't answer.

Honestly, he didn't remember anything like that, from the game, then was this world completely other than the game?

It looked so, not only the world didn't match, but even the system didn't match.

'Anyway, back to one of my questions, what is Memory Core?'

He asked, honestly he didn't expect any kind of Answer, since the name itself given him no clue about it.

However, he got the answer.

[Core memory, is a place that you call Heaven, a place infinite and divine. It's inside your soul, even people from the earth can enter it, however, they have no idea about it.------]

And so she continued to explain, it felt like an eternity.

Biel saw Harlow, being bored and all, so she shortened it to one sentence.

[It's your soul.]

'Soul... Being in a soul, is that even possible?'

He thought, but he didn't get an answer.

...

Suddenly, his consciousness slowly passed away, as if something wanted for him to wake up.

[It looks like, our time is over, It's sad I will not remember anything from here.] Biel said.

'W-wait I didn't get answers I wanted'

It was too late before he even started to realise, he was already back in the real world.

[It's sad I will not remember anything from here]

He remembered those words as if it was something important.

Even though, he wasn't feeling sad or anything.

...

"All of that didn't have sense"

...

Part 2

The few next days were quite peaceful.

Harlow managed to be friends with his classmates and other people, he finally wasn't the lonely kid.

He always had a topic to talk about, well, more correctly, Biel had.

His morality changed a bit, he slowly began to be more human-like, and regret killing many people.

His body, and so his morals changed after being reincarnated.

...

Other than that, nothing happened.

His studies went decently. He was already 4th level magician, on an advanced level.

After reaching the advanced level, he already reached the pinnacle of the magic, he can use with Biel.

He had now, to learn magic on his own unless he gains even more proficiency in Biel's skill, or upgrade her.

However, it was impossible, without knowing how.

No matter, how many times he asked Biel about it, she didn't know and said that she didn't remember anything from the dream.

"Damnit, only levelling up will give me something right now."

It was true, learning magic, was hard for him alone, at least on his current level, and the only way was levelling up.

With that, his stats would rise, and so his strength, and who knows, maybe a skill would drop out for him.

However, he had no excuse, to go outside the city. Every excuse that he prepared, was repelled by guards and the academy.

In other words, he was stuck.

And.

He wasn't a shounen character, that would become more overpowered just because of one training arc, but it wasn't said that he can't become powerful.

So just from training in training grounds wouldn't make him strong, at the very least, would make him form a new spell by luck.

Part 3.

It was Harlow's day off.

It was Sunday, the only day that was free in the Empire.

He decided to go out, at least this once since he only has seen the city in the sunlight once.

"Buy Polonia's Pizza [Polish pizza is very good, I recommend it] here for 10 bronze coins!"

"Buy ------- for 9 bronze coins."

"Hey, have you heard about -----"

The city was lively, it gives vibes of some kind of metropolis like Rome, but more ancient.

Well, at least that's what it was looking like, at first sight.

However, if you got into the west sight of the city, you would feel like in another city.

Mass protests were ongoing in the western city.

Most people wanted their peace and were against acceptation of Polonia's people.

The police were non-existent, or at least they were disorganized.

Many policemen were in completely other uniforms and speaking other languages.

They weren't equipped with any weapon, other than just a load of metal pipe.

If someone, from the modern age, would see this, then he would've probably laughed at this scene.

In short, the west of the city was completely disorganized and was in chaos.

If this city, would be the whole city, it would be no joke to say that revolution was near.

Well, from what Harlow knew, it wasn't just here, but east and north were like that as well, and other cities too.

Compared to his previous life, such things as socialism and communism and fascism came to life way too early.

Well, there were also many more and brutal wars in this world, so it somewhat made sense.

In the year 1231, it wasn't even time for nationalism, yet such radical groups already came out.

Well, compared to his previous world, this world was overall very weird.

The technology was far more advanced than the ones in 1231, yet, they haven't know anything from science, no, they didn't even bother to research it.

They simply reasoned everything with 'mana phenomenon' and 'Magic'.

As he was walking, through the west of the city, almost no one even dared to shout at him to bring him to their side, since they easily recognized the suit he was in.

Even though he was on a day off, he was forced to put on the academy's suit.

It was a white tower's suit.

It was a nice, white, elegant and militaristic suit.

There was almost no one, that was crazy to do something to him.

"Hey, you! In the white suit!"

Someone appeared behind Harlow.

It was a man, with black clothes and red writing on it:

"Kill poles! Germania only for Germans!"

He was a fascist.

Harlow looked at him, with disregard and a disgusted look.

He was too a pole, or at least he felt like so, and he felt like it was directed to him as well.

The man talked to Harlow for quite a while, while some were looking at him with pity, others were looking at him with respect, but the majority had one question in mind:

'Do you want us to die?'

There were a lot of cases, where people involved with students disappeared the next day, especially if it was talking about politics.

Harlow looked at him for a while, after he ended talking.

"So, will you support us?" He said.

It was the most stupid thing he could say after saying all this.

Even politicians in his world weren't as stupid as him.

"Tch." Harlow clicked his tongue. It was visible that he was disappointed.

His face changed instantly.

His lips were lower than normal and his eyes were looking both disappointed and angry at once.

̶H̶e̶ ̶f̶u̶c̶k̶e̶d̶ ̶u̶p̶

He backed off in instant and was looking at Harlow with fear right now.

He hasn't taken to account, that Harlow could be from another nation too since many people from the academy are other nationalities.

'I can't beat the living shit out of him.' He thought, and joked after that:

'This looks like some moment from a fantasy novel, MC just about to forgive someone who offended him. Can't authors think of a better ending to this situation?'

Harlow looked at the demonstrator for a while, with the same eyes, meanwhile emitting mana into the air and directing it to him.

It was poisonous for Normal people even more than for magicians, and it didn't take long for him to pass out.

Normal people couldn't defend themself against mana.

'I guess this will be enough'

As he thought that, he continued to walk through the city.
