As Harlow has enrolled in the academy, he had to attend classes, with was problematic for him, since he just wanted to read books.
Books would give him the most knowledge, and since he has Albedo, he would be able to memorize all the magic he learns. With would be a great help for him and an advantage.
***Ring***
The Ring started, this meant that classes were started. Harlow didn't want to give a bad taste in the professor's mouth just from this meeting, so he decided to wait near the class and there read a book instead of in the library or his room.
However, most of the time, Albedo read the book, meanwhile, Harlow just pretended to do so.
Class Started.
"Welcome, All new students. My name is Christoffer Zÿppolt, your class teacher. Since today, is your first day in school, we will start by introducing ourselves. Let's start from you" The Teacher said. As he has said that, he pointed at Harlow, everyone of course followed the course of Teacher's finger-like everyone in the new class would do.
Harlow got up from his chair and spoke the words;
"Nice to meet you all. My name is Harlow Shallfear, and I am a High Elf." It was short, yet long. People around him have already begun to feel his Aura, something that Humans would not.
They were frightened of Harlow, but they couldn't show it to others, since it would make them an easy target for bullies.
Everyone was surprised. No one expected to be in class with Elf, what's more, a High Elf, something that is rare even among high-level Elves.
Well, it wasn't time to get amazed by The High Elf, everyone had to introduce themselves.
"Harthman Von Núfran, Barold Von Balingen, Cordtt Von Zepffenhain, Curth Von Augspurg." And so the list continued on. In total, there were 21 people in Class A.
Most of them were Nobles, 17 people in the class were nobles and the rest were like Harlow, commoners.
However, being Noble Man didn't matter much in the academy, since skills matter more. Such example is Harlow, which is a commoner and has greater privilege than any noble.
First Classes were boring for each lesson, only introductions and stuff like that, only PE, the last lesson decided to skip the introduction to each to each, and a teacher just said his name.
Andreas Von Fletzlingen. He was total buff, that's the only word you can name it. Everyone at first thought, that PE teachers can't use magic, however, as fast as they thought, these thoughts were denied. Andreas, showed them instead strength, that humans could not reach. It was physical magic, part of Holy Magic.
At PE, everyone instead of studying magic and such was forced to do Push-Ups, Lift and such, to enchant their physical strength, which later would be great, if someone would be a high-level mage.
Even though in low-level magic physical strength was not needed, later in high-level, was needed as blood in the human body, to put it simply, if not the strength then your body would simply explode while doing a first high-level spell.
That's why high-level mages were often mistaken for Knights or Martial Artists.
Harlow, of course, was the strongest one in terms of physical strength, Andreas at one point, though that Harlow could use some kind of magic, that was impossible, it was stated that he never learned any magic, however, he has high compatibility with 6 elements. And he couldn't enchant his strength even if wanted, since he was incompatible with Holy Magic.
Well, that's how the first day in Academy has gone past. Nothing special, like every first day in every school.
After school, Harlow has decided to go to the Library and read their books, and this was the best place since there was no one except him, only him, the principal and some high-level mages could stop here, with was a big advantage for him in case of studying and his power.
Well, to this day nothing special has happened.
The second day for the academy has started.
Everyone already made friends with each other, only Harlow was a loner, that was not friended with even another loner in school. However, he didn't even look like he would want one, and most
young ladies of some known families weren't brave enough to talk to him, typical girls in love. And those who were commoners, just told themselves that he is Noble.
And Boys didn't want to be friends with him, he looked like a total bookworm, and on top of that, he got many ladies to fall in love with him, with meant that he is the arch-enemy of every one of them.
First lesson.
That's how his lunchtime was gone, many annoying people came around him, just to talk to him, and maybe make contact, however, all those were useless, they didn't even make him speak a word, so it was easy to assume that he didn't want to talk, well, they continued.
As lunchtime ended, Harlow was walking through the hall, everyone still followed him, however, he ignored them, at one point he just wanted to tell them to "fuck off", however, he couldn't do so. It would tarnish his reputation.
Well, it ended pretty quickly, none student could enter the third floor, no, even a lot of staff couldn't enter there, only elite could even step there, and watch anything.
Well, for the rest of the day, Harlow just read books, and that's all. He didn't do anything other, as he didn't need to nor wanted, magic was a priority right now, to gain more power.
The first lesson was about non-elemental magic, it mostly included such things as small-healing magic, magical missiles, and other stuff. It wasn't hard, Albedo has remembered every one of them. The first lesson was easy as making yourself a simple bread for breakfast, or cereals.
Harlow was there, reading a book, uninterrupted with peace. However, that was not for too long, the teacher was annoyed by him reading a book instead of listening to his lesson and said;
"All right, Harlow, say what is the formula for Flame Hortex." The teacher said.
It was something, that they would learn in second grade, and from another subject, however, the teacher was too annoyed to even think about such trivial things, he asked it with pride in his voice.
This pride didn't last long, Harlow, while still reading his book, said swiftly:
"You organize your magic flow through your blood cells, into your left or right hand. After that, you have to organize your second magic flow to the opposite hand, where you will have wind element, instead of Fire, and you will have to combine both flows, which later...." Harlow said that, and after that started to draw something on the first paper he found near him. It was a magical circle. "You ignite that magic flow into this Magical Circle you made with magic and then rest is up to your imagination." Harlow added up.
The teacher was shocked, as everyone was. The first-Grade student just said not a formula, but instead how to do Flame Hortex, like someone who used it 100 times and explained it to someone, so everyone could understand. It was something, that even he couldn't do, that's why he only teaches First Grade.
"That's right," The teacher said with a voice, that visibly loosed his pride after what Harlow said.
For girls, his reputation gained another level, he knew something that even though was in second grade, even fourth graders had a problem with. Guys, hated him even more, however, couldn't do anything since he knows Flame Hortex, which meant that they had no chance against him.
That's how the first lesson fell, it was fast and easy, well, Harlow has already somewhat studied, and first grade will be easy as making himself a sandwich, nothing special.
He got A+, first in grade, no, even people in second and third grade didn't have such geniuses.
The second lesson was about alchemy, a thing important in Magic since Alchemy Meisters made equipment for mages and potions that help them, however, alchemy was also something, that mages didn't want to exist, since there were a lot of potions that destroyed the flow of mana in one's body, and that was the most popular product lately.
Magic was simply too dangerous for normal people, and high-ranking officials to them keep mages freely as they are right now.
Well, that's not important right now.
The Second Lesson was in one of the laboratories instead of classrooms since it would be simply too dangerous if the lessons would commence in normal classrooms without any kind of magical support.
This was time to shine for Harlow, the total time to shine. The teacher ordered students to do something from their books, no matter what, just to do something, and he would evaluate the Potion they had done.
In first grade, only potions could be done, later, in second grade if you decided to become an alchemy meister then you would study and practice blacksmithing and magic layers.
Harlow has already read 3 volumes of Alchemy, to be exact the one about potions, with made him a clear advantage. They had 2 hours, instead of the normal 45 minutes on a lesson.
Like Harlow wanted to make the best potion possible for him, he couldn't. It would simply bring up too much attention, and would only cause him troubles. What if someone sends assassins on someone like him? Or what if families will start to compete for him, and something like war would happen for him? Well already that young, he could do many things, that older people than him would have a problem with, so it wouldn't be surprising if countries would competent for him. And that was the problem, he didn't want to become a thing or a weapon in eyes of nations that they would gain something from only.
So instead, he wanted to create something called 'Demon's Drops' It was a popular Magic Recovery Potion. It wasn't expensive and for experienced people wasn't hard to make, yet it recovered 30% of your current magic, which was a great deal. Compared to the price you pay for this potion, the power could be considered too high.
Well, for Harlow that was like making himself breakfast. It wasn't hard, however, took some time, because he had to wait for some things to be active and such. Even though he made the most complicated potion among his classmates, he made it faster than anyone else.
"This!.... This is Demon's Drops!" The teacher shouted.
For a normal scholar, it was impossible as normal scholars were inexperienced, especially if you count the time this potion was made of, it was the same as someone who experienced war and was forced to make those potions 24/7 and finally got the total grasp of it. No, even faster.
"And this fast?" He quickly added. It didn't take long to realize, that the man in front of him, was talented indeed. However, even no matter how he tried to make him say something, it didn't work. His voice was heard only once and it was the end of him even saying a single word.
It made girls like him even more, and boys hated him to the core, though they had the respect for a stronger one. However, their pride couldn't accept that a lowly commoner did things that they couldn't.
Well, on his second lesson, Harlow got A+ twice a day, this meant he was more than talented. He was genius above geniuses. This meant, that every country will want him, and especially the Fatherland - Empire of Germania. The country he was right now in.
It wouldn't take too much time, for the country, no, the army to take interest in him, and recruit him. With would probably make him skip grades in this academy, and instead, just give books to read. This kind of thing has its pluses and minuses. Pluses were of course, that he didn't have to attend the classes, and he would probably be able to live with enough fortune and as a noble for the first of his life. However, there were as many minuses as pluses, no, even more.
First, Harlow will have to be under Nation, which he didn't want, he wanted to be free instead.
Second, He will have to learn the military of this world and such, to make decisions in battles and learn everything from the military from start.
Third, He would be probably the main man in the propaganda, nobles would quickly gather around him, with would also mean, that many assassins would come for his ass.
The second was only a possibility, since if he could just consider mages, like artillery or tanks, then everything would be the same as in his previous world. And he would be considered a genius in military tactics too.
Well that's for later, he was still in school, and it wouldn't take only 1 day for him to be in the military. It would take at least a year, or so he thought.
Third Lesson.
The third lesson was about Elemental Magic. However, in this lesson, Harlow was alone in Library teaching himself, since the only one who could teach him anyway was the Principal, however, she didn't have Blood Element and Dark Element. Which meant, a huge disadvantage if she would teach him since it wouldn't show his true potential in those.
His Third lesson was self-teaching only, so it was peaceful and no one could know what kind of elements he had, which meant, that his mysterious appearance was growing even more.
Well, that was that. The third lesson was quick for him, since he lost count of time meanwhile reading books, however for normal students it was hell. The Third lesson lasted 3 hours, in total.
It was already 14:00 [Or 2 pm for others] and today's fourth lesson was canceled, due to the teacher being absent for the day being, which meant that Harlow had more time for his books. However, the time had other plans.
Lunch. Yes, He had to attend lunches, even though he had privileges that no one had, they couldn't give him food up to his room, he still had to attend lunches. And lunches meant problems, for him. It meant that people, who want to get close to him, will do so, and eat with him, and what's worse, maybe talk to him, and force him to respond. Which he didn't want to. He just wanted to eat in peace.
It took him about 10 minutes or 1/10 of lunchtime. It wasn't a lot, however, Harlow didn't eat anything today, which made him hungry as the wolf in the woods. However, as a vampire, he was forced to drink blood, otherwise, he would be weaker or even die. But, how could he do it? He was a vampire in Human's nation, that had the best security on the continent. Well, that would be for later, if he was about to die, he would probably think of something, right?
As Harlow has sat down, a lot of girls ha already come up to sit with him, and a lot of nobles wanted to make contact with him in the future. If a girl would be about to marry him, then the family's reputation would grow, and if someone had Harlow as a friend, then the same things would happen, however, Harlow didn't plan to do any of these things.
So instead, he just say down and ignored everyone's babbling about stuff, instead, he just begun to eat like no one was around him. Of course, it made most of them annoyed, and probably give up in the future, however, there were still people that wanted to make contact with him or girls that wanted to marry him.
Well, Lunch for Harlow was chaotic, that there and them there. Everything and everyone around him tried to do something for him. [I don't know if this sentence makes the same sense as in my language, however, this means that everyone around him annoyed him and stuff. In polish this makes sense.]
After lunch, everyone followed Harlow through the hall, until it was the start of the 3rd floor, it was placed that none could enter, only a few elites of the academy and country could do it, and right now, in front of everyone Harlow entered the 3rd floor. This made everyone around him right now, even more, fixated on him, and wanted to make contact with him even more.
For the rest of the day, Harlow all did was reading books, nothing more. He was alone there, and it was peaceful, it was an oasis for Harlow. For now, the only thing he had to care about, was not to stand out too much.
