I have come to notice that when it comes to this Breyden, the man himself brings nothing but trouble. I believe that he fails to see that for all of his intent and purposes; it is not the two girls that bring the trouble, but only himself. He has dragged Zoe and Teagen all over the world for the sole reason of protecting them, but he has failed to see that he is not saving them from the danger but merely bringing them to it.
So as Zoe lies all snuggled up in my arms, in one of the rare chances that we will be able to, as she wraps her arm over my chest and stares into my eyes, I take her words not seriously. The only possible thing that the man will have on his brain is where we will go next. But I will entertain the conversation as I know where it is leading to.
"What was it that you thought the man thought?"
"He is off to Sebastian."
"Yes, that very strange Vampire."
"Well, they have gone off looking for a witch."
