[Log recording, 1902287]
…. Voice recording, by Amelia.
This is Amelia speaking. I am now recording an hour before the raid starts.
Now it's 8:04 p.m., the very last meeting before the raid commences.
She walked across the empty halls, closing her eyes and letting out a sigh. She reached the door before the G.I.S.D, the doors scanning her before it opened up, revealing the members as they scrambled to finish up any remaining preparation.
Some were communicating with each respective team through the communicators, going back and forth checking everything to make sure that all went along as planned. Marcus stood before the largest control panel and holographic screen, it showed everyone's positions and health conditions.
"Amelia, we are doing our last preparations." Marcus said without looking back.
She sat on one of the seats that was not hers, though no one else was going to sit on it. She crossed her arms and stared at the condition and status reports.
Day is clear, the coast is clear. None have been noticed by anybody in or out of the area.
"You already gave them the necessities?" She continued to stare at the screen.
He nodded, his eyes lingering on the screen. He was promptly dragged away by Sheila, mentioning that she had something to discuss with him. Amelia looked around the division before going out, she walked until she reached the front of the G.M.R.D, the massive glass window showed no one in it. She placed her head to the side of her head, sighing and leaning on the glass.
Her reflection showed Asura instead of her, as his voice began to echo in her head.
"Ah yes. What do you need from me, Amy?" He greeted her with a wide grin.
Her head tilted upwards as she spoke, "Liu Yue and Xiao had already reached, correct?"
"They should have already reached by now. But I have to check to know." He shrugged.
She closed her eyes and shook her head, "There is something I want you to do."
His jaw opened up slightly, showing his sharp canine teeth, "Oh… what is it?"
"Go to where Cyliam is, and take that stave from the storage area." She crossed her arms.
His head tilted, "Eh? I thought the stave was in Salem's hands?"
"That is another thing entirely. That stave is still in Cyliam's hands."
He chuckled, "And I can't kill him, right?"
She nodded, "Yes. Leave him alive."
"Is there a reward…?" His mouth began to gather saliva.
"The only reward you'll get is having a free flow buffet." She shook her head.
He closed up his jaw, though his teeth were still showing, "How about you sleeping on my thighs?"
She rolled her eyes, "Absolutely not."
"Just this once?" His head remained tilted.
"No."
"Come on~ Just this time?" He giggled.
"..." She sighed.
He laughed, "Alright. I'll be waiting for the day you want to take a nap on my thighs."
The glass reflected her, Asura was nowhere to be seen. She looked over the halls, her eyes lingering on it. She walked back to the G.I.S.D and sat back on the same seat. No one took it as they thought she was going to come back, which they were right.
Marcus reappeared with Sheila, she was holding a big pile of documents. She placed it on the control panel, making sure not to hit any of the buttons. He pressed on one of the buttons which allowed him to contact everyone who was holding the communicators.
"Can I have your absolute attention?" He shouted into it.
He waited for a moment before speaking, "I believe that everyone is ready, but we have something important that everyone need to keep in mind."
"It seems like the Perfection's cult leader, Salem, had appeared in their supply base."
The news was shocking to everyone involved, aside from Amelia. She still held her usual stoic and cold expression which was not unusual to those who worked under her. It was a nice thing since she did not give anything off, or it would have affected her entire plan.
"Those involved please take it with extreme caution, if you can't fight her then don't. We still have time to deal with them later."
9:05 p.m, the raid begins.
The Lost Sheep's cult, supply base.
Sei's team is taking the upper ground, Thorns's team is taking the underground tunnel.
[Sei's side]
They stood in front of the large steel door, some holding guns and others holding swords. Their leader, Sei, with short fluffy black hair that almost covered his black eyes, was holding a katana. It looked ordinary, only difference being the red ribbon tied around its hilt.
"Well, prepare yourselves." He chuckled before kicking the door.
It flew across the empty concrete ground, making a strong 'bang' when it hit the walls. Everyone on the floor was alerted by the sound, though they did not have much time to react. Bullets and arrows sprayed across the room, shooting down anyone in the vicinity. Though the gunshots must have alerted those below, they still went on a killing spree.
Bodies fell one after another, their blood spattered on the grounds. The blood was not red in colour, in fact they were as black as the skies. The team rushed forward whilst barraging the members with every projectile they had, cautious in not coming in contact with the blood.
"I wonder why they gave me such an easy job." A corner of Sei's lips curled up to a grin.
Pieces of broken glass were all over the floor, along with the blood and animal masks. Though they did not have time to look through it, instead they kept pushing.
There was an immediate warning, as the alarms had not gone off despite them killing roughly ten people.
One of the team members kicked down a floorboard, which revealed the ladder to the underground area. Everyone promptly dropped down, with Sei walking surrounded by them. They looked around the area, which was surprisingly large for an underground area that was not originally built with the factory.
Even if it did not seem like it, Sei's guard was up, so was his teammates. The dorm area was quiet, maybe too quiet. There were only rows and rows of doors with the only change of scenery coming from a large lounge area sandwiched between the dorms. Sei's hand gripped on his sword's hilt, others did the same with their weapons, firing or striking whoever came into view.
The area was bright, yet the concrete floor made it felt like the members staying here was nothing but prisoners.
A stairway came into view after walking for a while, directly leading to the floor below. Some went down first to scout out the area with the rest coming down once it was clear that they either needed help or it was fine.
"It's fine to come down… just…" One of the members shouted to the rest.
The sight was… bizarre to say the least. There were monitors and control panels that showed information, from the leader's orders to the vicinity of the base's condition. The largest monitor showed clearly Sei's and Thorns's team location, with clear warnings showing on screen. There were indeed a bunch of people here, yet they were all dead.
Most of them were decapitated, some had their chest punctured. Blood was spilling everywhere, some even covered up some of the panels.
"What… the fuck." One person muttered.
Sei's eyes narrowed, looking around for any clues as to who would have done it. They took some time to look around, checking the grounds, walls and the bodies. Yet they had no lead on who would have done it, or why they had done it.
Was it by a single person? Or a group of people?
What mostly concerned Sei was how clean the wounds were. Whoever, or whatever group, had done this was a professional. They did not even leave footsteps that were drenched in blood, meaning that they either killed everyone on the floor in a short amount of time or were skilled enough in dodging all of it.
No matter what, this was incredibly dangerous.
He grabbed his communicator, eyes still looking around for any suspect as he spoke, "Marcus, can you see this?"
Marcus replied swiftly, "Yes commander Sei. We are trying to figure out if someone had tempered with the signals. Please stay on guard."
They continued to look around for a little longer before advancing down the stairs.
But, they did not have the chance to.
"Commander, L--"
When Sei turned around, a large part of the team had disappeared. The only thing left was their weapons on the ground, not even blood had spilled. He gritted his teeth and gripped on the hilt much tighter, turning around to face the remaining.
As the same with the ones before, they also had disappeared.
He grabbed his communicator, shouting in frustration, "MARCUS, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU--"
"SEI, BLOCK HIM."
He did not get much of a chance to react, his movements had to rely on his instinct. A sickle collided with him, closing in on his neck. He bent over just enough that it grazed his chin, the end of it taking the communicator off of his hands. It landed on the ground, the attacker stepped on it whilst Sei heard Marcus shouting,
"YOU--"
The person wore a dog mask, it covered his entire face aside from his eyes. He was wearing a grey cloak with the cloak tails being white. It was buttoned up so the only indication of the shirt underneath was shown by the arm, revealing a beige shirt.
"What do you want?" Sei narrowed his eyes on the attacker.
They smiled at him, by the way his eyes and face showed the emotions, "Hmm. Definitely something."
9:35 p.m. Sei encountered Liu Yue
During the initial break in
[Thorns's side]
Thorns twirled with his braided hair while walking through the underground pathway, the curved blade on his shoulder. He looked a little too carefree to be fighting since he began to whistle. Everyone on his team shot him a look, yet they were not going to say anything about it.
So long he did all that he could as a leader and as comrades, they were not going to complain.
The pathway was dark, probably by intention. There were only a few lights illuminating what felt like long hallways, adding to the feeling that the members were trapped in here. They had to rely on the briefing Marcus and his division gave them to walk through.
He spotted a member, represented by their animal mask. Thorns stood at the very front of the team, even as others had tried and failed to convince him not to. His whistle changed to humming as he walked towards the person.
More people came into view, though he did not seem at all concerned.
A gunshot was heard, clearly echoing through it. Thorns chuckled lightly before decapitating the person standing closest to him, walking away before they began to bleed. He continued to hum as his comrades ran, gunning down anyone as far as their eyes could see. The gunshots continued to echo, making the pathway feel more alive.
They had to run and dodge, making sure to not get themselves injured or risking their skin stained in black blood. Thorns still seemed relaxed, continuing to twirl some of his overgrown ginger hair while humming. His dark yellow eyes looking at his hair instead of anything else.
"Should we…" A person whispered to another.
She looked back at Thorns before whispering back, "I think he'd get angry at us. Let's not."
They ran up the stairs, reaching the bottom floor. They looked around for people, yet there was not a single person on sight. There was some weird-looking equipment, like a large flask that could probably fit in a person and a refrigerator that looked a bit too large.
"Why is there… a large ass single door fridge?" Someone commented.
Someone decided to open up the fridge to see what's inside, they opened it with a thick glove. It was filled with a lot of blood… jelly? It looked solid but no one was sure whether it was just a frozen block of blood or jelly.
"Why would they need… jelly? Things? Whatever."
As much as it piqued their interest, except for Thorns, they had to go on. They carefully moved up to the third floor, making sure that the equipment had nobody hiding behind it. Nothing much of interest caught their eyes, as none of it really made sense.
A loud scream caught everyone's attention, except for Thorns.
They gripped on their weapon as some went ahead of the others, pointing their weapon at whoever it was. What they saw was akin to what Sei's team had seen, just much bloodier than bodies lying around on the second floor.
The monster mixed with the human bodies, some had been eaten before it was killed. There were chambers with some kind of liquid, though the liquid spilled all over the floor and the glass was broken. However, it was not as if the human-like monsters broke out of them.
There were clear impacts on the glass, each broken apart in the same way. Someone had hit it to make it crack then the monsters bumped it.
"Now we are having some… complications." Liu Yue muttered before sighing.
His foot was on the top of someone's face, stomping it again to make sure that they were dead. They started to fire at him immediately, yet only the sound of the trigger 'clicked' was heard. Thorns finally gave it some attention, it was clear that he was too late.
His comrades were either plainly knocked out or had parts of their bodies lopped off before getting knocked off.
He sighed, "You know… kids like you are the kind I hate the most."
Thorns smiled and took some steps back, "And I like
sticking it to people like you the most."
10 minutes before Sei encountered Liu Yue, Thorns was heavily injured.
He swung his sword towards Liu Yue, targeting the lower half of his body. Liu Yue's sickle knocked Thorns's weapon out of his hands by swinging it upwards while the curved part of his blade caught Thorns's curved part of the blade.
"Has anyone told you not to be cocky?" Liu Yue chuckled and kicked Thorns's stomach.
He was sent flying across the room, luckily he grabbed onto a wire before his body hit the wall. He did not have much time to think as Liu Yue threw his sword back at him, he ran forward with the sword as well.
Thorns blocked the first strike with his sword, the sickle's blade again hanging around his blade. Liu Yue again swung it around and the end hooked on the blade, this time aiming it directly at Thorns. He had let go before and tried to grab Liu Yue's wrist.
Liu Yue smiled as he let go of his own weapon, kicking Thorns's knee to make him stumble down.
He did tumble down, though he grabbed onto his sword and thrusted it forward at Liu Yue. Unfortunately for him, he was just a second too slow. Liu Yue's sickle came down on his arm, slicing his arm clean off with his hand still gripped onto it.
"Not bad skills, but you do seem to be relying too much on your weapon hmm?"
Thorns was knocked out by Liu Yue's foot as he lifted it up and striking Thorns's neck with his heel. Thorns coughed and the impact even broke the flooring beneath him, his head collided hard with the concrete floor.
"Amelia really needs better commanders." He laughed as he looked up, placing the sickle's handle on his shoulder.
Thorns and his team were completely out, and they remained so even when Morax's team had come to help.
Sei noticed that the shadow that was casted by the light on top of their heads were different, Sei's was the outline of his body while Liu Yue had a wyvern-human hybrid. He knew that his opponent was nothing to scoff at.
Liu Yue approached him first, lunging forward to disarm him. Sei was not sure if he had done it by instinct or already knew that his katana was dangerous. He was fast enough to match his speed. His sickle tried to get it off of him, though it also came extremely close to slicing his legs off.
Sei backed off and gripped on the weapon hilt, he had not realised that something was amiss. The red ribbon began to sway as something had happened. His eyes remained firmly on Liu Yue as he stretched his left arm.
"You know who I am, and this weapon." Sei commented.
Liu Yue nodded, "Yep. And I need to take you out as quickly as possible."
He narrowed his eyes, "Then you should know that you already lost."
Liu Yue approached him again, running towards him with his sickle dragging across the ground. Sei took a step forward, his left leg remained on the same spot it was earlier. He leaned down slightly as Liu Yue stepped into his vicinity, grabbing the sickle's handle with both hands as he swung it forward.
Sei drew his sword once he got close enough, though it was not close enough to slice him.
However, his eyes widened as his sword did not do what it was supposed to. Liu Yue grabbing the chance to disarm him by knocking it out of his hand with his sickle, the katana flew to the side as he took another step closer.
Sei backed off, Liu Yue swung the dull end of his sickle at him. It only grazed his neck as he leaned back. Sei leaned ahead and extended his fist, trying to punch Liu Yue. Though Liu Yue had already swung his sickle, this time the curved blade almost came in contact with his neck.
He grabbed the sickle bare handed, stopping it just before his neck. He gripped tightly, his palm began to bleed. Liu Yue smiled and his other hand grabbed Sei's, stopping his fist from contacting. But Sei leaned forward and used his forehead to hit Liu Yue's mask, forcing him to back away.
"At least you got a working brain." Liu Yue chuckled.
Sei went to grab his weapon as he spoke, "Too bad that's an actual compliment that we don't hear very often."
For some reason, Liu Yue did not attempt to stop him from getting it, he did not even pretend to. His sickle hung over his shoulder as he stared at Sei, who stared back. He was cautious in picking it up, just in case Liu Yue decided to plan a trap.
He sighed and stared at it, noticing that the red ribbon was not swaying and staying still.
"What…" Sei mumbled.
Liu Yue laughed, "This is what we call, mystery."
"Did you actually activate its ability? Or did you not?" His head tilted.
Sei's eyes narrowed at him, though their encounter did not last long. They heard footsteps coming from above, it was loud and hectic. Before Sei got to do anything else, Liu Yue turned around and waved his hand at him.
"Well, my job is done. I'm going." His back was facing Sei's.
Sei shouted before he left, "Why are you here?"
"Can't tell you."
Liu Yue's body merged with the shadow beneath him, Sei did not even get to see his face as the mask remained on. He placed his katana back into its sheath and sighed, watching Morax run down the stairs.
"You seem alright." Morax shook his head.
He stared at his bleeding palm, "I guess."
Morax and his team, along with Sei, dragged Thorns's team out of the supply base. They subsequently blew up everything once it was sure that they had gotten everyone out. Sei's team was found near one of G.M.R.D's camps. They were all uninjured.
It is obvious that the members stationed there were nothing but slaves in a way, they do nothing but work. Though it is unclear whether or not these people were sent there intentionally by their leaders, or they had volunteered to do so.
9:07 p.m.
The Worship cult's second largest base
Kaguya served as the sole offense, Marine took the other team members with him.
[Kaguya's side]
Kaguya stood in front of an abandoned apartment complex, her eyes staring intently at the shield bubble that was guarding them from her.
She could not see any people, yet she felt the sense of life all over the area. They were spread out but there were at least three people staying together. Her stone-cold eyes stared up at the night sky.
There were no stars in sight, only the half moon could be seen.
"Quiet sky." She mumbled.
She closed her eyes and started breathing slowly, her arms spread apart as some energy gathered around her. The moonlight shone down on her as if it was granting her power, highlighting her with an exclusive spotlight.
She mumbled something as violent winds began to gather around the area, forming a barrier between the area and everywhere else. Even the grass began to sway violently. Some people stood in front of the barrier and dropped to their knees, praying to someone.
The winds closed in on the area, getting closer and closer to the barrier. People began to chant, some sitting in circles and on their knees. The barrier was being fortified by a lot of people, however it might not withstand the wind.
Cracks began to form as it got closer. Their chanting got louder and louder, yet it did not diminish the cracks. When the first gust hit the barrier, the cracks became holes. Once it closed in on the barrier, holes formed everywhere.
Eventually, the entire barrier crumbled.
She opened her eyes. The destruction in front of her was one akin to a natural disaster as some buildings had collapsed and surely buried a lot of people. She still felt the sense of life as she walked into the area.
The rumble and dust flew all across the air, covering the area with it. Kaguya did not seem at all bothered by it as she continued to walk, her footsteps were so light that it barely made any sound.
Her eyes glanced to the side, noticing someone approaching her. The dust made it much harder to see than usual, it still did not make her senses any less sharp. She leaped away as a spear came down from the sky, piercing where she was standing.
"I'd rather you show yourself." Her tone of voice sounded like she was commanding whoever tried to strike her to appear.
The person did actually show themselves once the dust settled down. The person looked like a higher up in the cult, with the way their coat looked compared to regular members. Their white coat was lined with gold and had a silver emblem on it.
Kaguya's arms were placed on her side, her hands not holding anything. The person was holding a cloth, though it did not look or feel suspicious. She did not seem to care very much as she was concentrating on them.
"Would you be willing to hear me out?" He pleaded with her.
She did not answer him or move at all, though she also did not feel like she had the intent to attack him. She stood completely still, staring straight into his eyes. Since she was not going to attack him, he decided to continue talking.
"Why have you joined them?"
A decently weird question to be asking someone, but in the context of it it makes sense. She still did not answer him, but it was clear that she was not scared of it, it felt more like she was figuring out why he asked it.
He shook his head, "When I first heard the title, 'Guardian of the Forest', I was curious. But then I knew you sided with… them."
"Why… did you abandon them…?"
She finally spoke, "I did not abandon them. They eventually had to leave."
He shook his head again, "What do you mean they had to leave? The residents were killed by the God's!"
"They were not. They had to leave," She tilted her head, her curiosity was getting to her.
She continued, "Why do you care so much?"
"Because the Gods had destroyed such a sacred place, and you had to work for them." He sighed.
She blinked, "The residents left because they wanted more. The forest still exists, it's just not my home anymore."
"Then why… did you join them?" He stared intently at her.
"Your delusions." She suddenly said for some reason.
He looked very curious, "What are you talking about…"
She shook her head, "It was my own decision. No one forced me into this."
He started rubbing his temples, "How can the Gods convince you to join them? Why don't you still hold your original ideals that you were made to have."
She stared at him for a moment longer as he rambled on something. Her mind started to block out what he was saying, her eyes closing and feeling any remnants of life in this area. He stopped and staring at her, though having to take some steps back.
"You all are… screaming. Some believe in things they don't…" She mumbled while her eyes remained closed.
His eyes widened, "What are you talking…"
"I'm sure that you believed in Gods some time ago, something changed that made you not." She placed her hands together.
She finally opened her eyes, her black mixed with pink eyes felt dark. It seemed like she was angry though her expression still was cold and did not change at all. Plants started to sprout from the rubble, vines and leaves began to show.
"Humans… don't try to force something on other people. People or not, I hate it." She said in a cold tone.
He collapsed to the ground, vines wrapping around his body. She turned around and walked away, small saplings began to sprout on the ground as well. The rubbles and bricks stayed, yet nature seem to have begun taking back what others had taken from it.
"Wolf of the Forest. Seems like you have a heart after all." Someone stood in between the tree, the shadow hiding their figure.
Same time
The Worship's cult supply base
[Marine's side]
Marine was perched on Julie's shoulder. This team was much more weird comparatively since this team did not hold any weapons. They only had large cloth and the teleportation flask, some did have a small container that could condensed decent sized items.
"We… just need to stand away.. right?" Someone looked at their comrades and asked.
"We do need to grab something." Another person mentioned while watching Marine flew into the abandoned factory.
The rest of the team ran inside of the factory while transforming, his transformation taking everyone's attention off of his team. They broke the floorboard and dropped downstairs, running towards a larger area where some valuable things were kept.
Julie, the person in charge of looking after everyone, immediately noticed a few things. Some of the weapons were nothing ordinary, they were either God weapons or Half-God weapons. Everyone stared at it, surprised at how much they had gathered.
There were at least eight of them, yet it was hard to tell which one were God weapons and which were Half-God weapons.
"We should take it like this." She said while grabbing a cloth.
She wrapped one of the weapons, which was a bow, with the cloth. The cloth was not ordinary as it had the same engraving with Aeon's and Andrata's weapons. The engrave shined with gold light once it was wrapped tightly. The rest nodded and quickly wrapped it like the way she did.
Screams can be heard on the upper ground, heat built up around the factory. They quickly got out of the factory without looking back, standing far away enough to not get burnt by the flames.
Marine, became a large dragon. His body was entirely white though some of the scales on his head were grey, like the feathers on his owl form. He actually did not became a large dragon, he was originally a large dragon. He had been the General of the Army since the 8th Guardian God, though once Kaguya joined she became the General instead.
The factory was burnt down entirely, flames blazing and heat that could be felt even thirty meters away.
They could see an owl flying out of the flames, again perching on Julie's shoulder. He turned around to see if everyone was here, which they made sure that no one was left in the factory. She sighed lightly and stared at it.
Something about a building going up in flames was beautiful for them.
"I think we have lost it." Julie mumbled.
Worship cult raid ended at 9:22 p.m. which was not a surprise.
The God weapons that they had were not the authentic ones, they were carbon copies of it. How they got it made so close to the authentic ones, is a topic for discussion another day. The Half-God weapons however were actual authentic ones. We are still figuring out how they even got it under our nose.
Well, they had someone to help them after all, not that he even cared.
During the entire incident,
[Back in the office]
9:05 p.m.
Marcus panicked when he noticed an unknown life signal showing on the map. Amelia sat on the seat with her arms crossed, simply staring at the screen where the life signal was showing. She knew who it was just by showing it.
"Huh…?" Marcus stared at the life signal.
There was no information on the signal at all, no matter how hard everyone tried. She did not say anything or do anything, just sitting there and staring. Everyone in the division was trying to figure out what was going on, some even running around calling the other divisions for clues.
"Amelia, can you please help us?" He pleaded with her.
She stared at him for a moment before sighing, staring at the control panels to see if there was anything amiss. She noticed that there was something trying to show but it kept getting blocked for some reason. She looked over to Marcus and motioned him to get over.
"Did you notice this?" She pointed at the blurred text.
He stared at it for a moment before shouting for someone, a stand-in technician to be more exact. They took a look at the screen, realising that someone must have broke something. They were not sure what it was so he looked over to Amelia, who was just standing behind them.
"Miss Amelia, please help us look over the data collection." They bowed at her.
She sighed and nodded, walking out of the division office. The hallways were still quiet, giving it an extremely chilly air. She walked to a much lower part of the office, the second last floor of it and stopped in front of a large door. The door was carved with the process of smiting.
She pushed the door open and closed it. The room was incredibly large, being able to fit about a thousand people in it. There were slabs with either weapons stabbed on it or a podium with grimoire on it. It was a God's weapon showcase, though none of the weapons here were the original.
Someone stood before a special section, four weapons which were, axe, sword, bow and grimoire were floating. They were each separated by flowers made out of glass. The weapons were pristine white, all having flowers engraved onto it.
It was weird seeing weapons that were supposed to be sharp, not actually sharp. Instead, the sword and axe had dull blades that could not cut anything.
Though, her attention was placed on the person before it.
"You're helping me huh?" She crossed her arms.
He chuckled, "I'm doing it for fun."
The man had blue hair that looked like the skies, eyes that resembled the depths of the ocean, and was only slightly taller than her. He was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt with dark purple sweat pants.
She stared at him for a moment, realising what he was wearing. Small burst of laughter could be heard even with her mouth closed as she was trying to stifle her laugh. He raised his eyebrow before rolling his eyes, shaking his head and had a slight frown on his lips.
"Can't I just decide I want to mess with The Council before I sleep?" He shook his head.
She said between giggles, "I… ha I know. Just… that… from your usual brat… hahah… attitude…"
She finally could not help it and began laughing loudly. She was laughing so hard that she had to bend down and hold her stomach, tears gathering around her eyes. His eye twitched while staring at her, yet he could not hold in this disdain for her.
"WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME BEING A NORMAL PERSON HUH?!" He shouted loudly with a slight blush on his cheeks.
She finally stopped and stood back up, wiping her tears away with her thumb, "I mean… The Water God, Mizuchi, who is a brat and arrogant bitch wearing purple sweat pants is funny to me."
"I hate you, Amelia." Mizuchi glared at her with his eyes twitching.
She waved her hand, "Back on topic. Are you sure that you did it just for fun?"
Her gaze became serious yet she still smiled, "That you're not colluding with Falak to create a mess for me to clean up."
"After all, like you said, you hate me." She chuckled.
He chuckled deeply and tilted his head up slightly, "What if I am?"
She shrugged, "At least The Council won't be only on my tail."
"I'm not going down with you." He shook his head.
She raised her eyebrow, "Also, it looks suspicious that you're here, before you're going to sleep."
He hummed, "Why do you think that I'm here?"
"Why should I be the one to answer?" She tilted her head.
The atmosphere got hostile and tense real quick, both of them smirking while glaring at each other. They never exactly saw eye to eye, only on some occasion that they agreed on something. Mizuchi let out a loud chuckle, his smirk remained as if challenging her.
"Would you believe me if I said I just want you to owe me a favour?" He walked closer to her.
She leaned in close to him, she was still smirking as well, "I would. After all, it's in your best interest to have me on your side when you need it."
He clapped his hands and said sarcastically, "Woah, what a bright mind~."
"Ah right. You're pretty suspicious too. After all, how could you have known that I was going to tamper with the surveillance." He leaned in closer to her as well.
"Hmm… just a hunch." She shrugged and backed off.
He sighed, "It's too coincidental to be a hunch. Or did you just see into the future?"
She chuckled, "What if I did? That wouldn't make much of a difference anyways."
Amelia suddenly unsheathed her sword and swung it, stopping before she sliced his neck. The blade drew blood as it grazed it, if he were to move in the wrong direction, his head would have come off of his neck.
"After all, you still would do as planned won't you, God of Serpents?"
His eyes changed in color as it became red instead of the ocean-like colored eyes. 'Mizuchi' transformed into a snake, wrapped around her blade. The snake had black skin, and was about two meters long. It hissed at her, yet she could still hear his voice.
"Ah~. That's not fun at all, you figured me out so quickly~." He chuckled at the end of his sentence.
"What gave it off? Was it my laugh?" The snake's head tilted.
She got the snake off by swinging it up and down and placed it back into the sheath, "Nope. It was the way you talked back to me that gave it off."
He giggled, "Seems like I didn't learn about Mizu enough."
She sighed and stared at it, "Now. What do you actually want?"
