Chapter 11 - Father, Save Me

"Run!"

When Yu Shuya saw Master Miao Jun barging across the courtyard in anger with a broom in her hand, she grabbed Yu Niang and ran out.

"Stop! How daring of the two of you to run away. Are you courting death?"

Yu Niang halted when she heard the warning from Master Miao Jun. Her eyes were brimming with tears when she gazed at Yu Shuya and pushed her out of the courtyard.

Yu Niang wanted to run and hide too. But she knew she could not. She knew the consequences of trying to run and hide from Master Miao Jun. That evil nun would want them dead.

"Young mistress, faster leave..."

Master Miao Jun's broom landed on her back just as she asked Yu Shuya to leave.

Yu Niang groaned and fell, almost hitting the ground.

When Yu Shuya saw Yu Niang got beaten, she returned to help Yu Niang up. She couldn't bear to run off alone and let Yu Niang suffer.

"You are not to hit my wet nurse." Holding on to Yu Niang's arm to support her, she fiercely glared at Master Miao Jun.

"How dare you glare at me, little b*stard? Are you talking back to me? I'll teach you a lesson."

Master Miao Jun cursed at Yu Shuya, wanting to hit the child with the broom in her hand.

"Father, quickly come and save me. Someone wanted to beat me to death. Save me!"

Yu Shuya cried out in desperation when she saw the broom was about to reach her body.

Sure enough. Master Miao Jun's broom hung in the mid-air after she shouted.

Yu Shuya noticed master Miao Jun shaking in anger. Although she was guffawing in her heart, the volume of her cries increased.

"How could I not know your weakness, evil nun. A nasty person like you wanted to go against me?" Yu Shuya whispered in her heart.

Although Master Miao Jun pointed her finger at Yu Shuya as if wanting to continue her scolding, she had no choice but to shut up when she thought of Mr. Yu and him sending a doctor to visit the sick girl.

The little b*stard knew how to find support now. It was so frustrating.

Yu Shuya couldn't help feeling pleased with herself when she realized that Master Miao Jun was infuriated with her action. She stared directly at Master Miao Jun and spoke.

"Master Miao Jun, I miss my father. When do you think my father will come to visit me?"

Master Miao Jun's face contorted with anger by her question. She wanted to pinch the little b*stard very much. But she could only force a smile on her face instead.

"Miss Yu, Mr. Yu is busy. He might not visit you for a while. You can stay here in peace and wait for him to visits you when he comes here to offer his prayers and donations."

Master Miao Jun's heart was full of disdain, although she offered comforting words to Yu Shuya.

Mr. Yu paid visits to the temple for prayers with his harem and their children for the past few years. But he paid no visit to this sick child of his, not even once.

Just when she thought that Mr. Yu had forgotten about the sick child, he had sent for a doctor to attend to his child staying in the temple all these years when she fell ill.

Her fists clenched tight at this thought. She had to tolerate the sick child.

"Miss Yu, Mr. Yu loves an obedient child. You can do the laundry with Yu Niang. I'll put in kind words about you in front of Mr. Yu when he comes again. What do you think about it?"

Yu Shuya couldn't help loathing the evil nun in her heart when she heard the lie coming out from Master Miao Jun. Was she trying to bluff a child? But the body she was in was indeed a child. But she was not a naïve child that could not tell right from wrong.

Just as she was about to continue bargaining with Master Miao Jun with her teary eyes and pitiful face, she felt tugging at her sleeves.

She glanced at Yu Niang, who tugged her sleeves, shaking her head.

Yu Shuya knew what Yu Niang was trying to tell her. It was a stroke of luck that she did not get beaten up today. Master Miao Jun might lose her temper and changed her mind. She might beat them up if she continued to provoke her.

Yu Shuya sighed and held Yu Niang's hand.

"Okay, I will do the laundry with Yu Niang."

Master Miao Jun snorted when she saw the two of them lowered their eyes and preparing to do the laundry. She walked out of the courtyard with her head held high as if she had just won a battle.
