Chapter 1 - The Fool(prologue)

J'baki was always found himself in peculiar predicaments. It was such a constant in his life, by the time he was ten, he had already known a thing or two about his capabilities. However, the incident in Kenryu City opened his eyes to a whole new world.

Kenryu City was the shining capital of the Southern States. Brightly lit spores danced across the city, a vibrant orange during the day, a cool blue during the night. Skyscrapers made of iron white wood towered over homes and businesses closer to the ground. At the heart of the city stood an elaborate courtyard with a small white tree nestled in the center. For the past fifty years, since the birth of the country, the people of The Southern States gathered at this tree for a grand celebration.

The Diallo family arrived in the city just as every family does, they enjoyed a quaint morning together before their parents rushed off to take care of business. Leaving Akachi, J'baki, and Neyali to enjoy the festival in their absence.

J'baki ran off on his own as soon as he entered the city and found himself faced with yet another peculiar predicament. Only this time through his own foolish actions, he dragged the lives of his brother and sister, along with him. In the end, his brother freed himself and the two tried desperately to save their sister.

However the captors were cunning in their plan and right before they could reach young Neyali, a light flashed separating them forever. J'baki blamed himself, it had been fine before, he was being young, his recklessness had never hurt those around him. Not having control never caused an issue. This was the day he pledged; no longer would he be found in these situations with no way of stopping them.

But for now he was in a new environment. Far away from Kenryu City. Far away from his parents. And completely out of touch from his siblings.

Over the next five years he met a new family. His life was forever changed by them.
