when astin opened the door he couldn't see the bright light of the sun. because a tall big muscular man was blocking it. he was wearing a military uniform and had several medals on his garment with his name written on the right top side of his chest {sergeant Leon}
"astin tray it is time for you to go to military school"
"oh yes, can I have a second before I leave"
"you only five minute"
he then closed the door and started to gather his stuff it didn't take him a minute for how fast he was moving. after 20 seconds he finished gathering all his stuff in a bag and now he was ready to head off to school.
astin and sergeant Leon have been walking for five minute until they arrived at their destination.
they were now in front of a giant teleporter. when they went in the teleporter they were teleported
to another city.
"welcome to the military school"
sergeant Leon then handed him a black card
"now if you were to go anywhere or want to buy anything you'll have to show this card. since your a student you'll be handed a black card like all the other students so you have limited places that you are allowed to go to. but if you joined the military you'll be given a blue card and the higher rank you are the different card you will get. that even means the more areas you're allowed to go to. anyways wear this watch and it will tell you which area you should head off too. you go now so you sign up for the exam"
"thank you sir"
then the watch showed the number 4
"attention the entrance exam will start in 30 minutes"
astin then rushed to the sign-up area in area 4 in front of him was a line full of students. So he had to wait until it's his turn to sign-up for the exam. after a while it was now his turn to sign-up.
"student ID please" said a women from behind the desk
"ok here is your ID head to teleporter number 15"
astin then took his card and went to the teleporter that had the number 15 on it. when he headed inside he saw ten other students with him.
they were now in a wide closed room that had couple of machines in it.
suddenly a loud alarm was heard
"the entrance exam have now officially started"
suddenly someone appeared right in the middle of all the students.
"hello everyone my name is sergeant Leon and I'll be your examiner for today's exam"
it was the same sergeant that toke astin to the military school.
"you will be staying here for at least three years and after that you are free to either join us or join a guild or just be an adventurer. ok now we shall start the exam the first exam is majoring your power level by punching this machine and it will determine what rank you will be. now the ranks are
0 - 1000 is ranked F
1000 - 3000 is ranked E
3000 - 6000 is ranked D
6000 - 10000 is ranked C
10000 - 30000 is ranked B
30000 - 100000 is ranked A
100000 and up is ranked S
now we only have 20 S ranks since it's something hard to achieve it is known that once you reach power level of 100 thousand more you'll be like an immortal. now I'll start first"
sergeant then went close enough to the machine and punched it with all what he had. when he punched the machine a loud bang was heard through out the room. the sound was almost like a shotgun. then the number 47854 was shown on the machine.
then some students started to talk to each other. after they saw the number.
"A rank???"
"47 thousand can you believe that"
"is he really just a sergeant ?"
"are the people in the military that strong"
they were now interrupted by sergeant calling for the first students to start the exam to go first. once the student punched the machine it didn't make the same sound that sergeant Leon made and the number 3245 was shown which means he's a D rank. and now other students started to go ahead and punch the machine. now it was astins turn.
"astin tray come on ahead"
ones showed up the girls started looking at him while blushing for how handsome he was.
"astin tray what is your ability"
astin tray was now hesitate he didn't know whether tell him about the air bullet or say he doesn't have one and then after a while of thinking he said
"I-I don't have an ability"
soon after he said that. the looks on the girls that was blushing at him was now looking at him with disgusts. everyone in the room was giving him a look of disgust except for one person. and that was sergeant Leon he went to his pocket and pulled out three grey scrolls.
"it is ok, we offer all our students and our soldiers who joined the military that doesn't have an ability a grey ability scrolls. now you can choose either the water , wind or earth ability but since these are grey ability scrolls it won't be that strong"
"it's ok sir I don't need an ability"
astin knew that the military doesn't give ability scrolls for nothing. once they give an ability scroll to someone their life will be devoted to them.
"very well then, I won't argue with you any further. you shall now start your exam"
astin then approached the machine and took a fighting stance and punched the machine with all what he had.
a small bang was heard and the number 2700 was shown.
"2700 is the machine broken or something"
"he must've cheated somehow"
"does he really doesn't have an ability?"
"SILENCE" said sergeant Leon while leting out some of his aura out.
