Kyn felt a wave of tiredness rush over him after the vigorous 'exercise' with the two Gaias. His body ached, and he felt weak and exhausted. The metallic voice didn't help as it continued its countdown.
"Jasmine, As much as I'd like us to continue for now you'll have to excuse me. I'll be out for a few minutes," he said in a drowsy voice
The room around him began to spin as he eventually lost consciousness. The Gaias looked at each other worriedly as he lay motionless on the bed; they both understood their lover had overexerted himself. But the fact that he actually slept immediately after having them was a bummer. Especially, Flora who'd just recovered and was turned on from her doubles experience.
Taking matters into her own hands Flora summoned some ether to the tips of her fingers and touched his forehead. She was astonished by the rapid brain activity Kyn was currently experiencing, she couldn't read his thoughts nor was she capable of healing him. Kyn wasn't asleep but stuck in his own thoughts literally
Seeing this, they both sat up by his side and cautiously checked to see if his breathing was even. Clearly, Kyn had an exhausting day and needed some time to recuperate, but him going silent on them wasn't part of the plan. He was the one who chaos called to, his chaos mirrored theirs so why did he pass out.
They made themselves comfortable next to him, ready to keep watch over him while he slept, mindful that a good rest would do him a world of good. Maybe after the nap he'd get better off.
Meanwhile at the Blackjacks table.
"Hit me!", roared the wisp of all trades., currently seated on a pile of gold she was unstoppable. Chris was busy, whining on the number of losses he'd just encored to the Wisp as he placed his last few coins into the slot machine next to the high tables.
Bertha couldn't contain her glee as she watched her stack of chips at the blackjack table rise in front of the hotel's other patrons. She looked oblivious to the slight earth tremors that rumbled beneath the casino, consumed by the thrill of success and the appeal of the environment. To be sincere it looked as it the wisp was completely oblivious over the fact that Kyn had gone missing.
Just as Bertha was about to finish her next round, an unexpected wave of dizziness washed over her. She tried to steady herself by grabbing the table's edge but failed. The connection she shared with Kyn, combined with his current predicament and blackout, had taken its toll on her as well. The idiot had just ingested an incessive amount of ether and with it she could feel the on coming need to filter it into storage.
Thinking to herself, 'I thought I warned that idiot on the consequences, on upgrades, the previous time we got hooked up with a goddess transporter mission. Fuck! This is even 50 times worser than the previous upgrade. Sheesh? What did he just ingest.' She thought holding up her head. The fact that he had gotten this chance should have been a breather but with great power comes great responsibility.
'Kyn you'd better have a good reason as to why, the Earth wants to favor you this much.' Feeling her connection with the ground getting much more stronger, she looked back at Chris and with unsaid words, Chris closed in the distance.
"5% cut deal or no deal, to get me back to the room," Bertha said.
"20% with no refunds," he replied back
"4% .." She cut it down.
"18% ..." he biquad.
"I'll only go lower," she replied.
"Fine ,you win," Chris finally caved in to the wisp.
As if accepting her fate she turned back to the dealer who'd just finished shuffling and in a sudden and unexpected turn of events, Bertha blacked out at the table, her victorious streak abruptly halted. Witnesses in the casino were taken aback as Chris, who had been keeping an eye on her, hurried to her aid.
Bertha's final remarks were a colourful slur at Kyn perfect timing for undergoing such an inconvenient "upgrade" at that particular hour as he pulled her off her game.
Kyn found himself in a bizarre and ethereal environment that defied the known universe's limitations. It was a universe of endless potential and cosmic delights, a planet between realms. He encountered a presence unlike any other in this limbo-like region.
Before him stood a primal entity, down on his link read, Dʰéǵʰōm, the progenitor of every version of Gaia, a deity of immense power and significance. Unlike Gaia, she seemed more mature and much more composed as compared to his companion. Her presence exuded ancient wisdom and cosmic authority, as if she were the source of all worldly creation. He even felt the compulsion to look away from her gaze as she exhibited an untouchable aura.
Kyn greeted her with a courteous nod, in awe of the being before him. "Dʰéǵʰōm, it's an honor to meet you. I'm aware of your importance and position as the source of all Gaia's incarnations."
Dʰéǵʰōm regarded him with eyes that seemed to hold the wisdom of eons. "You are partly true on your observation but the truth is, you have truly won my daughter's heart, Kyn. She reflects many aspects of me, and I recognise in you the traits that drew her to you."
In the presence of this cosmic entity, Kyn couldn't help but feel humble. "I adore Gaia and will go to any length to protect and cherish her." As of now she's more than just a friend."
Dʰéǵʰōm nodded, her presence seeming to envelop him in a sense of cosmic understanding. "You and Gaia are entwined in a destiny tapestry, and your journey is not an ordinary one. The difficulties you will have to endure will tests of your character as well as your love for her."
She on continued, "My counterpart and main consort is Dyēus, the sky father, considered as my equal and true opposite. It is theorised that we are the same being but play different roles in tapestry of things. But in the same way that the sun and the sky are inextricably linked, so will you and Gaia." She said giving a pose to her teaching.
"Sun and Sky?" kyn thought
Kyn nodded trying to absorb the profound wisdom of Dʰéǵʰōm's hidden behind those words.
Dʰéǵʰōm's offered a gentle smile, her presence radiating warmth. "Kyn, your journey is just getting started, and the challenges you face will put your strength and resolve to the test. Remember that love and unity are tremendous cosmic forces. Accept them, and you'll find your way but ignore them and trust me when I say I will destroy your very existence"
Meanwhile Kyn's body was undergoing a profound new metamorphosis. Unlike the previous one that strengthened his physic, This enhanced his connection to the environment, He'd transcended to a true type two body physic:
