When I fell asleep.
I gave birth to a very bizarre dream as I was slithering an enormous serpent body in space.
The size of my body was so vast that I could approximate it with the surrounding planets a bit distance away from me.
It was as if I was steering an enormous war fortress.
But that was not all of it as I was plunged into a huge clash with billion of enemies.
I battled them with my vast body as I shuttled through their ant-like battleship.
And as I stormed through their defenses line with ease.
It felt so substantial that the emotion of absurdity consumed my consciousness.
Gradually returning to my senses...
-
Later one hour of sleeping, I gradually regained my vision as I slowly loosened my sleepy eyes with sloth.
Sensing a little bit stuffy all over my body.
I slowly spanned them up to bring about myself a more comfortable feeling as I yawned with my mouth broad open.
I hastily examined my new physique with enthusiasm as I'm rather anxious about how much improvement can my first evolution provide.
And then I noticed...
Before I was only 10 cm in length but now I have grown over 50 cm.
My skin was now a bit firmer as my color deepened a bit darker but it still retained the greenish element.
Wanting to inspect my panel next I quickly instructed the system.
"System brings out my panel"
"Ding"
Name: Hiro
Species: Normal snake
size:50 cm in length 2 cm in diameter.
Points: 0
Skills:
1. Common sprint: Grant host the ability to increase max speed by 6% (passive)
2. Poison skin (It means what it means): a slightly stronger poison skin that allows the host to paralyze the enemy when in contact(Can be accumulated)(passive)
Evolution points needed for the next evolution: 500 points.
Seeing that even my skills obtained some advancement.
I was utterly amazed and delighted!.
"Hey, System I never speculated that even skills can be upgraded with my evolution... care to explain?"
(Ding...replying to the host. This is of course logical. Host skills will be upgraded alongside the host body.)
"Wow, this is great!... with this I can assure a continuous increase of strength. Especially the skills level part since it will not be automatically upgraded alongside my evolution"
"Now I need to gain even more points for my next evolution"
" and also to buy the remaining skills in the system mall"
And with that.
I pondered for a moment with another pressing issue. My size... and my current nest.
"Talking about evolution... I will have to change my nest asap."
" The rate of my size improvement is far too fast to cope with my needs for shelter. Finding a new home is a must after this"
After preparing my next plan. I slowly unclogged the entrance and quickly snaked my way out for the very first time in my new life.
I barely stayed for one day in this tree and now I'm leaving it already.
Time sure does pass faster than I thought.
As I finally passed through the small entrance gap.
I was immediately bathed under the warm sunlight with my skin shined under the brilliance of the morning star.
Flickered my gaze around for a moment.
Appreciating this new landscape that I'm currently in as my body slithered forward in an unhurried manner.
Huge roots spread eagled the ground, twisting like the great backs of sea dinosaurs.
The foliage became thick and lush, forming an arch of fairytale-green above my head.
Arthritic boughs, gnarled with age, dripped their bounty of leaves onto the path.
Briars, brambles, and berry trees flanked the trail, making it impenetrable on either side.
Shuffling noises came from deep in the interior, deadened by the cunningly woven web of leaves.
Greeneries to one's eyes and greeneries to as far as I could see.
The ground appeared to be rather wet and yet dried at the same time. A bit of mixture with those yellowish leaves here and there.
And with each zigzag that I made on these leaves.
A soft and yet crisp rustling noise echoed about in the area. Looking from above, one would see a tiny snake that was slowly slithering away gracefully.

Hours departed by as I had been moving about in this great forest.
And yet I didn't find a single animal while I was paving my way here.
Were animals quite rare in this world?.
"Why is there had not been a single creature yet? it had been hours already..."
" and it was not like I was staying in one place. But still, there's no sign of life except these trees"
I asked in disbelief while my eyes wandered about towards the surrounding thick bushes.
The soft swaying noises of those trees all around me and the almost silent panorama of the forest. It appeared to be rather... deserted.
Then, I slithered forward under a slightly scarce bush.
and continued complaining.
But suddenly,
*Rustles* *Rustles*
I heard a little noise inside a bush that was 7 meters away from my location.
Not too far and yet too close... an appropriate range that I'm currently in.
I quickly lowered my head as I eyed the source of the sound intently.
Wanting to see what would happen next if I were to stay here patiently.
"Rustles* *rustles* *squeak!*
The commotions kept on getting louder and louder, added in with a small squeaking sound of a certain type of animal.
This unknown creature made itself visible with noises as it moved forward in this direction... seemingly the next moment it would exit the bush.
My muscle tightened as my eyes narrowed slightly focusing on the bush ahead.
'My first fleshy animals! my first prey that is not a bug! I need to do this perfectly!'
I thought to myself as my head eyed its piercing gaze forward.
Suddenly!.
A juicy mouse leaped out from the thick bushes as it landed perfectly within my attacking range.
Seeing this.
My body instantly sprinted forward at a tremendous speed with my mouth wide open.
Death sure was beautiful when it came to benefit.
*Glob!*
The mice didn't even have the time to react as he barely just came out from the thickets.
My mouth gobbled it down as I wrapped my body tightly around it.
Shut him with my brute force while my muscle tightened, attempting to suffocate him.
*Squeaked!!!* *Squeaked*!!
The mouse shrieked in pain as its body won't stop flinching around.
Not even a minute passed.
The mouse finally stopped trembling due to my poisonous skin. Killing it off from the moment his body touched Hiro's skin.
(Ding! gained 100 points)
A brush of joy appeared inside my heart as I glanced at this newly emerged notification.
"Oh wow, 100 points! this fat mouse sure does give a lot of points... "
"but what was he doing inside that bush though?"
I pondered this question with a yearning look.
Curious... I made my way into the thick bushes.
As for that mouse? I don't want to eat it... wasting time isn't necessary.
Inside there I found a hole in the ground. Seemingly to lead downwards.
I continued slithering into the hole as my fork tongue flickered about to detect if there was any creature inside.
Detecting the surrounding heat as it delivered back a signal towards my brain.
"Seems safe... and there's a bunch of scents in the air similar to that mouse I killed just now."
" There might be even more of them down here!. hahaha lucky me!."
After confirming that there might be even more prey downwards inside this cave.
A flash of joy flickered on my face as I slithered forward cheerfully.
the further I pushed inside the hole, the wider the hole came to be.
This also delivered me with a bit more space to maneuver around easily.
Finally, deep down into the ground I entered a wide area.
And in the middle of it, a group of closely huddled sleeping mice was slumbering peacefully.
"It's time to feast!"
I muttered with joy...
a big smile arose on my scaly face as I slithered forward.
