After hours departed by... soon all of them went to slumber in their respective tents.
And of course, the largest tent belonged to the woman.
"Hey, Keylon..."
She raised a question to him with a flat manner as she gazed dumbly at her pillow next to her.
"What is it, my lady..."
He answered back as he was standing guard outside of her tent.
"Well... I had always been wondering this. You are a high-level Warlock, right?"
Listening to this... a subtle pause came out under the mask.
"No my lady... I think you have the wrong opinion of me. "
"You don't have to lie... I already know the facts all along."
She twirled her eyes around as an annoyed look appeared next.
"... yes... yes I am... "
"See!... but why though?... why would you be my family servant?... with your strength you can easily attain an honorable title in the capital."
"Well... I just feel like it... "
Keylon responded casually as he concealed a small curl of a smile under the mask.
"Huh?"
she blurted with amazement at his response as if she was looking at an idiot.
"That's the dumbest thing that I had ever heard...
Oh well, I won't force you to spill it out. Everyone has their secrets."
'Even I have some secrets that even my father aren't aware of'
she whispered inside.
"Have a good sleep my lady..."
Keylon murmured while staring at the starry bright sky. The stars filled the broad horizon as his eyes reflected all of the brilliant light. The breezy puff thumped by as it rubbed against the tent barely making it fluttered.
"Alright, Good night!"
'...'
"Good night my lady..."
He unhurriedly slipped those words softly as he veered around his gaze towards the flowing river. Reflecting the panorama of the nightlife within his crystal blue eyes hidden under the mask.
'Good night my dearest one... Evelyn'
-
Without them realizing... a fan was watching all of the drama from up close.
'Woahh!! what the hell is this?... a hidden prince and a trouble maker lady?...'
Hiro cried out inside his heart as he had seen all of those dramas around them.
'But they are quite brave though?... to camp out here in the forest... especially during the night... and especially next to me?... hahaha'
'And that guy... he's quite strong for a human'
Hiro confidentially praised Keylon as he gazed towards the camp.
'Should I play a little bit of prank on them?...'
suddenly a ridiculous idea arose inside his mind as his eyes constricted into playfulness.
'Why not? hahaha'
-
"she's already asleep... now I should check this place properly. Because I can feel it... there's another existence here. But it doesn't seem to be hostile. It just... there..."
Keylon slowly walked towards the C-shaped mound encircling this area.
Arriving next to the mound... Keylon began analyzing the texture and the hardness of it as he brushed it with his staff.
"This? doesn't seem to be natural... and it seems to be manmade. But who would create such a thing here in the middle of nowhere? and for what reason?."
He pondered for a moment and then proceeded to investigate more.
He strolled a bit straight ahead for a while and soon he arrived at the end of the "mound".
" Hmmm? it's oddly shaped over here... a bit rectangular... and... a bit too dark."
"Will of light... "
*Sizzles*
Suddenly a burst of light materialized... floating next to him as he waved his staff guiding it towards the "weirdly shaped mound".
" It's quite tall... over 2 meters... and the width of it... also 2 meters? and a bit more added with the oddly shaped rectangular..."
"Wait... this doesn't seem to be right?..."
A bad hunch came out inside his heart... as he began to reminisce some of the animal beast books that he had studied before.
'Oddly shaped is one of them... a demon below the creak as they slithered their way into our land. Ravaging the ground, the air... and every aspect that could be dominated. The serpent.'
He vaguely recalled some of the text lines that he had memorized before regarding a certain monster race.
*gasped*
remembering those text lines... his breathing suddenly halted as his eyes widened in panic.
"This mound can't be...it right?"
Keylon slowly said as a sense of urgency instantly engulfed his mind.
"But that's impossible... this is just a random mound or a manmade one. It couldn't be..."
as he was about to finalize his words... he unhurriedly guided the ball of light closer towards it.
As the ball of light was about to reach it...
suddenly... a pair of eyes unraveled itself in front of him... as it commenced gazing towards his entirety with those cold Emerald-colored eyes.
Everything came to be still and the temperature plummeted abruptly.
Cold sweat soaked behind Keylon's back as his eyes widened in fear looking back towards it.
"no way..."
he mumbled those words slowly... as he tried taking a step backward.
