I looked around with widened eyes. Though it is not rare to find a light bearer. Those who had the elemental power of fire could do that easily but for a boy of this age, only lighting a candle was a tremendous task! Yet the boy had lightened the whole mine. He had done it so perfectly that I could not see a single flame out of control. As if each candle was burnt with so many precautions to not catch flame on other things. No matter how I look at it, it was the work of a genius!
When I did not utter a single word for a long time, the boy in my arms became conscious of his actions. He fidgeted in my arms as he raised his voice again.
"I.. I am not strange. It is just.. You were the one who wanted the light, I just tried to help you. I am not a monster. I will not harm you, I promise.'' He raised his two fingers in front of his chest and tried his best to assure me that he would not harm me.
