Before the group even went far enough, they could hear the rumbling beats of the hooves of the moose hitting the ground as they chased after them.
"Dammit, why did you save them?" Malim asked Mian when he noticed that the hoof beat was getting closer and closer. They would not be able to reach the the tunnel before the moose reached them, and even if they got there, then the moose would be able to catch up with them even more easily, as the tunnel was mostly a straight pathway with no diversions within it.
It took less than a minute for the two moose to catch up with them, but this time, they did not look as angry as they initially did when they found the group.
"Moo!"
"Moo!"
The two moose cried out constantly as they gained speed and crossed the distance that separated the group from them. Mian's eyebrows raised in surprise upon hearing them. He understood what those bellows had meant, and was surprised by the meanings. The moose were pleading for the group to stop running!
