The journey back to the territory of the Zelan pack was in no way short, but the group did their best to minimize their breaks and maximize their travel time. Only the children slept through the night, while the adults kept on moving. The children slept on the backs of the beastly followers through the night, and a great deal of progress was made.
"We should be there by night if we keep up with this pace." Malim told the group when they stopped for one of their short breaks. They had decided that this break would be a bit longer so that the older lizardmen and women would rest enough for the remaining stretch of the journey.
"Or maybe the early hours of the morning." Lux added. The two of them were seated on a log while Mian was fussing over his jar of special materials by the side. Dion and Daniel tended to the tired lizardmen while keeping the kids busy. Kai and Heather also helped out here and there too.
