"Finally!" One of the lizardmen exclaimed as the group finally reached leveled ground. The massive mountain that had its peak shrouded in the low hanging clouds loomed behind them. They had finally made their way to the other side of the continent!
"Let's move ahead a bit more and then we can rest a bit before we continue." Lux suggested and everyone quickly agreed. The trip through the mountain pass had been much more dangerous and stressful than what they had expected.
After making their way to a clearing in the forest that sprawled from beyond the foot of the mountain, the jerky that Lux had prepared the night before was brought out and shared amongst the members of the group.
"Eat quickly and rest well." He told them, before making his way to where his family was seated with his own food.
