"Ma'am, we need to leave now; they are here." Daron repeated.
"They? Who are you talking about?" She asked again, slipping on her heels, her other hand holding onto the statue for support.
Daron was about to reply but decided not to. Daron grasped her hand, disregarding the rule that they should not initiate physical contact with their boss unless in dire circumstances.
To Averna, the moment wasn't necessary at the very least, and it made her slightly furious; she pulled her hand away forcefully.
"You need to leave now, ma'am." He said it firmly.
Averna looked at him, and his serious face made her wonder if he was telling the truth.
"Who are the ones coming? Why are you running away like a coward? Aren't you paid to protect me? What the hell is wrong with you?! This is a sacred resting place for my grandparents; who could possibly dare disturb here?" She raged.
