Chapter 89 - Guilt zoning*

"Would you calm your horses?" Lance held Damian down. "It does nothing to go against her; just be a smart ass." Damian rolled his eyes and was starting to lose his patience.

 

"A little credit would have sufficed, don't you think?" Damian argued.

 

"Whatever she does has always been beneficial to our company and everyone else. Please understand that this is not yet your masterpiece." Lance's soothing words calmed Damian.

 

"On a normal basis, she does give credit to her team; let's take this as a punishment to me for almost ruining this for her." Lance suddenly looked downcast at his failure.

 

"Then I would make sure she gives us due credit next time." He made a promise to both himself and Lance.

 

Lance didn't say anything but just looked at Damian, and then they burst out in stifled laughter, careful not to draw undue attention to themselves.
