Chapter 38 - Chapter 35

35

With Sachiko's plan, Killua and Gon only took four days to get to get to 200th floor. While they could've been faster, Sachiko told them to take at least four days so that it wouldn't be too suspicious. Since she was already putting this much effort into plotting, Sachiko hated to see it fall apart because of a rookie mistake.

But for Gido's group, the news of Killua and Gon reaching 200th floor made them unable to contain their excitement. They even started to finalize their kidnapping plan to get back at Sachiko.

And, the day they implemented their grand plan was a week after Killua and Gon's arrival at the 200th floor.

Truth be told, Gon was getting a little restless for those seven days since he wasn't getting any action or challenge, and Sachiko was starting to worry a little about Gon blowing their cover. Thankfully, the idiots made their move fast enough before Gon lost his patience and registered a match.

This led to their current situation, where Killua and Gon were tied to a chair in a dimly lit warehouse. Killua found that there might have been some type of numbing poison in the water they fed him and Gon. Fortunately, he was immune to that poison and Gon only pretended to drink the water.

Meanwhile, Gido's group took a photo of Gon and Killua being tied to a chair and sent to Sachiko along with a message.

[Give each of us a free win if you want to see them again. Register the following dates.]

The message ended with a few dates for each of them. And they waited for Sachiko's reply while imagining how scared or helpless she would be feeling as she read the message.

But, Sachiko smiled when she read the message on her phone.

"Seems like those two kiddos did their job really well!" Sachiko nodded in satisfaction. This was going to be so interesting!

With a smile, Sachiko wrote back a dramatic reply that expressed the sorrow, regret and helplessness of a sister who was about to lose her precious brother at any moment. She even tried calling the phone number a few times and left distressed messages with a trembling and sobbing voice to convince the idiots even further.

-----------

"Y..you don't..don't you dare touch my brother! Fine, I'll give you all free wins...just..just let them go.."

Gido and others laughed in satisfaction as they listened to Sachiko's distressed voice mail.

"Not so mighty now. Are you?" Sadaso laughed.

"That's what she gets for messing with us." Gido said. He couldn't help but get angry when he recalled the utter humiliation he had suffered because of her.

"Well, now that we got the kids here, there is no way she's getting out of this unscathed." Riehlvelt said with an evil smile.

--------------

The first one to have a match with Sachiko was Riehlvelt on the very next day after the "deal".

Sachiko briefly remembered that guy using the electricity attack in the anime so she actually practiced nullifying the electricity using Nullify in the past eleven days. It worked great for practicing her cursed technique and got her a bit more familiar with electricity in a way that after a few more weeks of the same routine, she would probably be able to transmute her aura into electricity.

But, Sachiko wasn't really feeling like transmuting her aura into electricity because that just didn't feel like her unique move. Still, her levelling up Nullify was already a win for her.

On the day of the match, Sachiko went to the stage with her best distressed face. Now, anyone would believe that she was truly scared and helpless about a situation.

As she headed to the stage, Sachiko caught a glimpse of Hisoka in the audience. He had that signature creepy smile as usual and he was looking at the stage with amusement.

Soon, Riehlvelt came up the stage ready for his win.

"Alright, our main event is about to start. Today, we have Sachiko vs Riehlvelt!"

"Now, are you ready to lose?" Riehlvelt asked with a laugh.

As the match had already officially started, Sachiko laughed. It was already too late for this idiot to back out.

"Well, you better work hard if you want to win." She replied.

"That's not the deal!" Riehlvelt said, "You promised to give us free wins." He said in a lowered voice, gritting his teeth.

Sachiko let out a chuckle, "Well, I lied. How else am I going to get the free wins from you guys?"

"You!" Riehlvelt felt a bad premonition as Sachiko's face expression changed from distress to amusement. "We have your brother and his friend. Are you sure you want to do this?"

"Why not? You think it's unfair for me to go back on my word? Then don't you think it's even more unfair to resort to kidnapping loved ones just to get a few free wins?" Sachiko said with a mocking tone, "Or could you not care because that was all you could do with your pathetic strength?"

"Very well, Sachiko Nakamura! You might be strong but you cannot win here." Riehlevlt gritted his teeth in anger. He couldn't believe Sachiko actually went against her word. When they investigated, it was pretty clear that Sachiko cared about the two kids a lot and would do everything for them. So, why would she...

As he was lost in his emotions, he noticed that Sachiko casually walked towards him, intending to decrease their distance even further.

'If she gets closer, I won't be able to activate my Song of defense.' Riehlvelt thought.

He dashed out to increase their distance by using the stored nen to propel his wheelchair.

Once he got to a nice distance, he used Song of defense immediately. With that, there was no way Sachiko would be able to get close to him.

That was what he thought.

But, Sachiko chuckled before pulling out a dagger from her pocket. Playing with the dagger in her hand, she asked, "Riehlvelt san, do you think people could die if they get stabbed by a flying dagger in their head?"

"What-"

"I'm just saying your head is pretty defenseless. You can't possibly defend against a flying dagger if I do it fast enough, can you?" She asked.

Sachiko's smile while asking that made Riehlvelt felt a sense of danger. The way she was acting all just made him realize how there was something wrong with her head and how likely it was to her following with her threat.

So, he shifted his song of defense in hopes of defending himself against a flying dagger.

The flying dagger came just as he expected but it missed him by a few meters and fell onto the stage.

"Oops, seems like I'm really bad at manipulation category.." Sachiko muttered like she had just tried out a technique and failed.

Meanwhile, Hisoka's lips curled up as he watched the scene. He knew Sachiko could throw daggers better than that from his experience briefly fighting with her during Hunters exam so watching her intentionally screwing up just to mess with Riehlvelt was just amusing.

Just as Hisoka expected, Riehlevlt got relieved. He didn't pay much attention in defense against those daggers anymore.

Then, out of the blue, two daggers landed on each of his arms.

"Finally!" Sachiko exclaimed in happiness.

The daggers weren't too deep into his skin but they were deep enough to draw blood out and make Riehlvelt wince in pain. He realized that the previous missed daggers were intentional to make him lower his guard.

"You'll pay for this!" He gritted his teeth and sent out his two whips to Sachiko. He expected her to catch it. Once she did, he would still win. It didn't matter if she could throw daggers well. He would win if he use his secret gift.

Sachiko knew what Riehlvelt wanted to do but she wanted to test out how she would do with her Nullify. She was pretty optimistic that she could deal with it so she catched the two whips, which then turned into two snakes biting into her skin before producing electricity.

"Thunder snake!" Riehlvelt activated the electric current with a switch.

Sachiko activated Nullify the moment she caught the snakes so the harmful effects of electricity was immediately nullified for her. Although it looked like she was being electrocuted, she barely felt anything.

'This state can only last about a minute so I have to move fast.' Sachiko thought. According to her calculations, she could only nullify this amount of voltage for one minute. After that, she would start feeling the effects little by little every second goes by and after three minutes, she would fail to nullify all the effects, which would lead her to actual paralysis. That said, with her reversed cursed technique, it wasn't a problem for two minutes and maybe two and a half minutes if she pushed through.

"This is my present for you, Sachiko. Are you shocked? Altogether, my whips carry one million volts of current, enough to paralyze and incapacitate even the largest of men." Thinkung he had already won, Riehlvelt laughed.

"Oh" Sachiko replied, "I don't seem to be affected much. Maybe because I was born on a night with thunderstorm? and I also happened to get electrocuted a few times when I cook so maybe I built a resistance?"

"That's bullshit!"

"Of course, it is!" Sachiko replied. "I don't know how you fall for that. Are you stupid or something? How can someone fall for lies so easily?"

Riehlvelt realized how true it was. How come he fell for every one of her tricks?

Looking at the shock on his face, Sachiko laughed and walked towards Riehlvelt.

He was panicking and trying to take the two whips back but Sachiko got to him first. She grabbed him and as she was still being electrocuted, Riehlvelt also got electrocuted when Sachiko grabbed him.

Then, with a smile, Sachiko transferred the two snakes to bite Riehlvelt instead.

Needless to say, Riehlvelt was out of commission. It was already a miracle he didn't die in that state.

Before he passed out, all he could remember was how he was utterly played by Sachiko. He realized Sachiko could've ended the match much earlier and with less impact but she played around for amusement. And, he fell for every single trick she pulled out.

Targetting Sachiko was a mistake all along.

"Riehlvelt is knocked out. Sachiko wins!" With the announcement, Sachiko got her second win at the 200th floor.

Sachiko then announced to Sadaso and Gido as she knew they would be watching, "Oh, since I never intended to give you free wins, Killua and Gon are fair game. I don't care if you set up matches with them to get wins. Just know that if you show up to the match with me, you aren't getting away unscathed."

-----------

Gido and Sadaso wasn't expecting this turn of events. They thought that they had already won the moment they managed to kidnap Killua and Gon. They thought that they had enough leverage to make Sachiko give in to any of their demands. They surely didn't expect Sachiko to go back on her own word once the match started.

Then, they saw how Sachiko was toying with Riehlvelt and playing with his mental state.

As Riehlvelt lost, they heard Sachiko's message for them.

That moment, they realized Sachiko was just playing with them all along and she had never intended to give them free wins from the start. In the end, Sachiko was the one who would get free wins if they didn't show up for their matches with her.

But, there was no way they would show up for the match. After seeing how scary that girl was, Gido gave up on the idea of facing her again. He had already lost the first time, there was no way he would repeat that.

Meanwhile, Sadaso didn't want to give up yet. He felt like he was so close to racking up ten wins to be practically set for life. Maybe, just maybe he could find a way to make it work.

-------------

Wing didn't know what he was expecting when he stopped by to watch Sachiko's match with Riehlvelt but he sure wasn't expecting this.

He had always suspected that Sachiko was more than a bit crazy but seeing how she played with her opponent's mental state made him feel uneasy.

Then, when he heard the message from her, it clicked. That Riehlvelt must've gotten Killua and Gon involved in some way and this was just Sachiko's way of getting back at them. That said, Wing wasn't a fan of how she handled the situation.

After all, who in their right mind say that your loved ones were fair game and the enemies were free to do what they wanted? No matter how she backed it up with a threat, Wing didn't like how she said it.

If he hadn't seen how Killua and Gon lived with her and their interactions were, Wing would've thought Sachiko didn't care about them. But, he knew she did so he just silently hoped she knew what she was doing.

Sorry for the late update :(

I really couldn't write any chapters these days.

But here's one chapter and maybe I'll post one more this week.
