Chapter 17 - Elite Guards

"Koji still isn't back," Sergio whispered to himself as he walked through the golden castle, "Is he alright?"

Sergio shook the negative thoughts out of his head as he opened the door that led to the room of the three special guards.

As he walked into the room, the three guards sitting on the couch felt a chill.

"Not him," one of the guards said as he rolled his eyes and turned to look at Sergio. The guard was a dark-skinned man who wore a red suit with black tuxedo shoes and had a long curly afro.

"What does he want?" a white-skinned guard said. He wore a blue suit with black tuxedo shoes, and he had his long brown hair neatly combed to the side.

"You never know with that Sergio," the last guard replied. He wore black glasses and had unkempt black hair. He wore a yellow suit and, like the other two, he had black tuxedo shoes.

The room was made of gold and served as a lounge for the three guards. It had a couch, wine, food, a pool table, and more things the guards could enjoy.

"What do you want?" the guard in yellow asked Sergio as he walked into the room.

"I need you three to go get Cora," Sergio said to them.

The three guards groaned as the one in red said, "you called on us elite guards to babysit?"

"It isn't babysitting," Sergio responded as he stared at the guards.

"There's also Aziel. One of you must stall him while the other two take Cora back," Sergio explained.

"Why should we listen to you?" the guard in blue asked as they stood up and stared down Sergio.

"I hope you three don't think you can defeat me," Sergio said as he laughed at guards.

The three guards dashed at him as they each threw a punch at where he stood.

Before the guards could hit, Sergio dashed behind them.

"You guys test my patience every time I come here," Sergio said as he appeared behind them.

As Sergio spoke, the three guards felt chills go down their spines.

"We were just kidding," the guard in yellow said as he laughed awkwardly.

"I hope so," Sergio said menacingly, "I'd hate to hurt you three before you go save Cora."

As he said this, the three guards dashed away as they sprinted towards the location of Cora's aura.

"He's as strong as ever," the guard in blue said as they dashed towards Cora.

The other two guards nodded in agreement, "he's always been a powerhouse," the guard in red said.

The guard in red stopped as they approached Cora's aura, and as he did, the other guards stopped.

"Why did you stop, Rome?" the guard in yellow asked.

"I stopped because we need a plan," the guard in red replied, "we can't just walk into this. I don't even want to think about what Sergio would do if we failed."

"Any ideas?" the guard in blue asked.

"I think Gio should go stall Aziel while we go get Cora," Rome said as he looked at the yellow guard.

"Why me?" the guard in yellow asked.

"Your abilities can stall Aziel for longer than ours can," Rome replied, "if we fought him, he'd just teleport away using his mirrors."

Gio nodded his head as he said, "I can do that. Send a signal when you guys have Cora. And, don't forget, if you find something interesting, bring it for me to experiment. I'm running out of things to use for my experiments."

The other two guards nodded, and before Gio dashed towards Aziel's aura, the two guards said in sync, "be careful. Aziel is a dangerous man."

Gio nodded his head as he zoomed towards Aziel, leaving Rome and the guard in blue.

"Let's do this quickly, Kan," Rome said to the blue guard.

The two nodded as they dashed towards the princess of the Kaijo family.

Sergio could sense the three guards nearing Cora and Aziel.

"Where is Koji," Sergio said as he paced around the lounge, "he's taking too long to return. I have to find him."

As Sergio prepared to leave the lounge to search for Koji, he felt a menacing aura appear behind him.

"There's no need to look for him," David said as he appeared behind Sergio, "he's safe with me."

"Who are you?" Sergio asked in a calm tone, "and where is Koji?"

David laughed as he replied, "there's no need for me to tell you everything now. You haven't even accepted my proposal."

"I don't care about your proposal," Sergio said as he dashed towards David and stared into his eyes, "where the hell is my brother?"

"You talk big," David said as he stared at Sergio, "but let me test your power."

As David said this, he teleported Sergio and himself away.

Sergio appeared in the middle of a scorching hot red star. As Sergio came in contact with the heat, he felt a surge of annoyance.

"This heat is disgusting," Sergio said as he released his prana.

The star which was lighting up the space that surrounded it began to freeze.

In a second, the star froze and turned into a ball of blue ice. As he stood in the frozen star, Sergio smiled as he said, "much better," he lightly tapped the ice he had just created.

As Sergio tapped the ice, it shattered and broke into shards of blue ice that soared into space.

Sergio attempted to watch the ice soar away. His experience was cut short by David, who teleported them out of space.

Sergio appeared in another location. He looked around and could see nothing but grass.

David appeared in front of Sergio as he said, "your power is magnificent. You are surely a worthy ally."

"Stop flattering me," Sergio said as his cold breath froze the grass below him, "tell me where my brother is."

David laughed as he said, "as much as you hate to admit it. You care about Koji and the rest of your family."

Sergio dashed at David and, as he traveled, he froze everything in his path.

"That weakness," David said as he watched Sergio dash at him, "will lead to your downfall."

Raijah led Teo towards Aziel's house.

Raijah said to Teo, "I can't feel that fast guy's prana anymore."

Before Teo could respond, he began to feel two auras coming at them at high speeds.

"I feel it too," Raijah said as he continued to fly while holding the two girls.

"People just keep coming at us," Teo said as he grabbed his sword which, was flying beside him, "I thought life would be easier with you guys but, it seems like I was wrong."

"We'll have to go down," Raijah said as he dove towards the ground.

They landed in a forest and, Raijah put Cora and Val down. He rested their backs against a tree and then walked to stand beside Teo.

"Let's work together," Raijah said to Teo.

Teo nodded his head as he said, "they're here. Let's do this, Raijah."

Raijah stretched his arms as he said, "go!"

They dashed towards the auras with Raijah leading the way.

As the two guards noticed Raijah, they prepared to attack.

Before they could strike, Raijah backflipped, revealing Teo, who had dark prana swirling around his sword.

"Lend me strength, Teiden," Teo whispered.

"Dark Prana: Dark Flash!"

A flash of darkness followed as Teo pointed his sword forward. He increased his speed as he slammed into the two enemies sending them flying and crashing through trees.

The two guards landed on the ground as Rome said, "He got us good. I didn't see that coming."

Kan and Rome looked up as they saw Raijah and Teo flying above them.

"Let's go!" Kan shouted, causing Rome to dash towards Teo and Raijah.
