It was night time. Sophia had spent the whole day sleeping in Janvier's room. So by night time, she couldn't sleep. Janvier slept soundlessly next to her on the bed.
Sophia lay with her back to the bed, staring at the ceiling as she remembered the conversation she had with Janvier in the morning.
"Jason hates me. I know he does" She had blurted out.
"He doesn't. I'm his sister, I would tell. He likes you" Her eyes widened. "Like....likes you likes you"
"I don't have feelings for him" Sophia said quietly. For a minute she wasn't sure if she had spoken the truth.
She was surprised because she could note the anxiety in Janvier's voice as they talked.

But why?
She wanted to know how Janvier figured out that Jason might have feelings her but she couldn't. Besides....Even if he did, it was not her business. She had nothing emotional to do with him besides ....Oh no!!
She looked at the time piece on the wall. 8:30 pm.
Would he still be awake....?...Waiting for her? Could he walk in any minute to carry her to his room like he usually does?....
Questions like this raced through her mind. She couldn't sleep.
'What's wrong with you Sophia. Just sleep. Why are you still awake. Are you really going to have sex with a traitor like him? He didn't let you see your sister last night, he doesn't deserve to use your body. Sleep Sophia. Sleep'
But sleep would not come. She decide to go down stairs for a glass of milk.
As she poured herself a glass of milk, she froze. A deja vû feeling took over her. She couldn't move. This was the way she had come down stairs for a glass of milk that night.....
She shuddered.
That night.
She could never forget it.
She replaced the milk carton in the fridge and held the glass cup to her lips and froze again. She looked up. Jason was there looking at her.
He couldn't sleep either but had come downstairs to stroll around the garden when he heard some noises coming from the kitchen. He had come in time to see Sophia pouring herself a glass of milk. He wondered what made her freeze like that. What was she thinking about?
Sophia drank her milk and looked away from him.
In truth, they couldn't sleep because they were thinking about each other, neither of them knowing why.
"Couldn't sleep?" He asked.
Sophia placed the cup in the dish washer after rinsing it.
"Yeah"
She really didn't want to talk to him but she felt it was stupid still holding a grudge against him. He would still let her go after a week right? Then she wouldn't have to see him again.
"Will you stroll with me. In the gardens" He asked again.
She hesitated but after a while, she shrugged.
"Ok".
