"Hi, Wade," Ren said pleasantly, reaching out to pat Fang on the arm in a soothing gesture.
It didn't help – Fang frowned even more fiercely.
Ren never really understood why Fang disliked Wade so much – Wade had been utterly obnoxious in the initial days, of course, which justified Fang's displeasure, but later on, Wade had improved, and even tried to help Fang at school. They hadn't interacted with him much afterwards anyway.
"Big Brother, how are you? When are you and Fang getting married?" Wade asked happily at the other end of the phone, unaware of the male lead's fierce frown.
Fang's face improved slightly.
"We are well, thanks, Wade. How have you been?" Ren replied.
"I'm all right, and I'm studying hard in college! I miss you, though," Wade said. "Big Brother, why are you evading the question of your marriage? Is Fang refusing to marry you now that he's famous as a prince and has also become rich?!"
