Chapter 16 - Chapter 16 (dispute)

Early morning, the sun had begun glazing, setting up the mood for the day, birds chirping, it could be heard from far away, cause the woods were far from the Castle.

Severus and the rest of the soldiers were all asleep, the whole room filled with rough snores, a sign they were all far from waking up, it was dim in their chambers, the glazing sun outside was unable to aid their awakening.

After a good long while, Governor Bianchi barged into the room, with twelve soldiers behind him, the door made screeching sounds as it drove to the side.

A few in the room woke up, including Severus, Lorenzo and padre thrashed for a while on their bed, and went back to sleep again.

Those who saw Masimilano and the soldiers, were awed by his sudden presence.

Marchisio and berradi who were naked on the bed hustled for blankets and cloaked them on themselves, as well as the harlots laying beside them.

Severus got up, he threw his pillow into the bed where Marchisio was sitting, a harlot grabbed the pillow and shielded her upper body with it.

"Why barging in, regardless of our privacy." Severus inquired,

Meanwhile everyone was waking up, they stole their clothes into the blankets that was covering them, and were all putting their clothes on under the blanket.

"Vir bellica," Masimilano called.

He departed form the company of his soldiers, and came to Severus de Niro.

"You are beginning to see this life from a birds view, you have begun seeing, and equally knowing what you shouldn't"

Severus frowned, he looked at Marchisio, the message his looks had for Marchisio was "What is Masimilano talking about?"

Marchisio didn't look back at him, he was busy putting on his clothes under the blanket, in the Roman republic it is deemed shameful for a man to have his nakedness seen by a stranger.

Marchisio was all about protection himself from being shamed.

"What is all this about, Masimilano?" Severus asked.

"Seize them all." Masimilano ordered.

Three soldiers came at Severus, and grabbed his biceps, Severus barely struggled with the soldiers, he was yet to get the clear reason for Masimilano's orders.

Luckily for everyone, they were quick enough to put on their clothes, before the soldiers chucked them out of their beds, the harlots with them scurried out of the room.

"Harlots will always be harlots, I thought one of them had fallen in love with me." Lorenzo said I his mind, as he watched the harlots leave their chambers with a nimbly gait.

"What is all these Governor" Lorenzo asked.

"Severus is the reason, he doesn't mind slamming two heads together."

Masimilano revealed, his words took Severus back to the conversation they had at midnight yesterday, he remembered vividly telling Masimilano he would expose his plans to Governor Bianchi.

"Holding us hostage will only bring war between you and Venice." Severus warned, deep down he intended to scare Masimilano with his words.

"Let me remind you Vir bellica, that we are now a Republic not an empire, wars between two Roman region are far from occuring, thanks to costaintine and the Danish babarians that took over the Western Roman empire" Masimilano said.

"You won't go a long way with this." Severus assured him.

"I don't intend to, I will make my decisions early enough, wether to detain you, or kill you, for now I have in mind, to accuse you of mass killing of christians, with that I would be allowed to have you as my slave."

Masimilano smiled evilly at the revealing of his plans.

"The court or whoever you are reporting to will ask to see the dead corpse I killed, which will never be seen."

Severus pointed out, he thought to find a look veiled by confusion in Masimilano's face, rather Masimilano put on a smile in his face.

"I will do that myself, I have already sent soldiers, to the monastery near the central city,"

Masimilano said.

The rest listened in fear, at the conversation between Masimilano and Severus, it was brooding, they all dreaded the ordeal of being thrown into the dungeon and made slaves that might be used for Gladiator matches.

Masimilano left the chambers after revealing he was about to do a Carnage,

The soldiers took Severus and the rest to the dungeon.

Everyone was disappointed that vir bellica showed no resistance to Masimiliano's soldiers, he let them drag him like a sheep into the dungeon, Severus was their last hope of not ending up in the dungeon, but he disappointed them all.
