A thumping sound distracted them.
Kenkyo's hand was on her hips, her jaw clenched and they were both sure a cruel punishment would come soon. Without Kenkyo having to approach, Kensuke and Kyosuke approached her while looking down in fear.
Kenkyo's hand rose—looked so threatening—and then tightly pinched the ears of the two naughty children.
"Fighting over girls, huh?! Childish! Squeeze all the laundry in the back! W-w-wh! Including your musty-smelling blankets! Then, wash all the dirty dishes in the kitchen! Now!" the absolute command of the mother which the twins could not refuse.

Kensuke threw his last piece of shirt into the bucket, put his hands in the washing water and then accidentally splashed Kyosuke, making his brother's face and hair wet.
"Taste it! This is your reply to suffocation. Delicious? Want more?" He burst out laughing.
