Looking at the new recruit tab, Alex was surprised to see 2 profiles looking back at him. Along with a name, age, and profile picture, there was also an explanation of their abilities. Moreover, at the bottom of the profile there were costs of recruitment.
"System, how does the recruitment shop and base creation token work?"
"The recruitment shop is refreshed once a week at the most basic level provides three recruits to the host. Once selected and bought, the money will be deducted from host's bank account, and the recruit will appear in front of the host. While the recruits are not from this world, they are given knowledge of this world and the host's organisation. Furthermore, they boast perfect unwavering loyalty to the host. The base creation token works by selecting a building or area that the host owns, the system then works by marking the area as Styx Territory and installing a basic defence and alarm system, along with some passive boosts depending on whether the base is a personal bottle or a business."
"Makes sense. Hey, Beth! How much capital do you currently have accessible this moment?"
"I've got about $2.5 million from my wages over the past two years, and I also have a personal investment fund from the company to a total $10 million in liquid funds, why?"
"Well, these recruits look pretty good but they're expensive as hell. Two are $1 million and the last one is $3 million. There is a barman, a former mercenary, and a strategist. I am considering buying them all and using a bar for our first base, any opinions?"

"Alright, I'll deal with the set up. Ill buy a really good penthouse plot in the center of the city, it should not cost me more than $3 million, add in another $2 million to get it decorated and up and running. Give me two weeks and we should be able to hold a grand opening."

Alex took a deep breath, "but first, send me $5 million so that I can recruit these three people."
