31st December 1979 . Bombay during the late 70s was something anybody would dream of back in the 1940s . Progression , development was growing at really fast rate . Let's keep it aside for a moment . Last day of 1979 . A new decade was being welcomed in all over the world. Same was for Bombay ( now Mumbai ) ,

everyone was celebrating and was ready to welcome a new decade . Everywhere there was only enjoyment , dance , games and feasts . Youngsters or to say young children of the so called godfathers of Bombay back then we're welcoming the new decade but in lavish night clubs along Juhu beach . One such night club , Orion 24 was also filled with guests , music , dance and alcohol . All were dancing their hearts out . Among all this lavish celebration , when the clock struck 11:50pm , a van stopped at the main gate of the club , 4 armed men came out of it , they got in and started firing blindly on everybody . Within minutes , the same place which was filled with guests , dance and music , was now covered with blood . The music was still going on , but not a single person was alive to dance or to welcome the new year . "Happy BLOODY 1980" , wrote one of the armed men on the walls of the club . Police as usual arrived at the club , at 12:30am . But the shooters had already dissapeared into thin air
