David was standing in front of a house, wondering how he got there. He looked around him noticing that the house was the only thing to exist, it seemed. Where the house ended there was only void.
Nothingness.
David, not knowing why, knew he was supposed to enter the house. Someday.
But he just couldn't. He knew he had to. Soon. But not yet. David stared at the house for what seemed to be an eternity, building up the courage, until suddenly-
*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BE-
David smashed his alarm clock against the wall, merely in spite and anger.
'Annoying ass bitch', David thought, still too groggy to realize it was in fact, not a sentient being.
David was half sitting up in bed trying to remember what had happened after he stood in front of the house. He had the faintest idea the dream did not end there, not at all.
'Damn, so close', he said, frustrated. It felt important. Lucid. Real…
"Honey, are you okay?…", his mom said. "I heard a loud bang. Do need help?", his mom said, already coming up the staircase.
"No! I'm good mom! Really, I'm fine! Don't come in!", he said panicky.
"Are you sure honey?"
He chuckled a bit."Yeah mom, I'm fine. I had a brief disagreement with my alarm clock."
"Okay honey, just making sure…", his mom said, making her way down stairs.
After listening for a brief moment, he sighed in relief. He did NOT want his mother to witness the rising of the spear hero…

20 minutes later David got out of bed. He was tired of… laying in bed and decided to work out. He was of mixed descent, as of was most of the population due to an eon of time passing. He had very dark brown hair, light brown eyes, 5'10, 125 lb, an average shmuck.
"Twenty five…twenty..six….", David growled.
"Twentyyy….", he said right before face planting to the ground, making a thud sound.
*THUD*
"Ughhh, my nose…" David muttered, before checking to see if anyone saw that and the getting up.
David decided to do his cool down on his bed, stretching his upper body and contemplating.
'What's the point?', he thought, wondering why he was doing all this in the first place.
'I guess to fit in?', he thought. 'Wish I was 6'0 though'.
David was thinking about his situation when he thought about him and his mother.
'What are we going to do?', he worried.
He and his mother lived in the outskirts of the nation, Moira. They were prone to attacks, the outskirts, but they had no choice in the matter. Moving more inward required money for taxes and housing costs, while they also had to pay for his schooling.
He could only worry about his mother since she worked on the garden all day everyday.
'Enough of that, worrying about things out of your control is useless', he chided to himself.

David walked down the stairs, putting his worries aside to officially greet his ma good morning.
"Mornin ma.", he said. "Morning honey, could you do me a quick favor and reach for the spices up there? Thanks.", his mother quickly asked. He chuckled to himself,"Hehe, you're short", he mocked. "Just get the damn spices already!", she huffed. David grabbed the spices, hung them above her hand for a split second, then gave it to her. "Your an ass!", she said half angry half jokingly.
After that she focused on cooking breakfast for him. David couldn't help but notice how much his mother changed in the last year. His mother was mostly Colombian, short, with pitch black hair, deep brown eyes, and a lovely and mature vibe. She had changed though since he really observed her. She lacked her usual shine and charm, and was visibly growing white hairs.
She had lost weight also, and she always permeated a sense of sadness nowadays. She noticed how David had been looking at her,'and asked"What's wrong mijo?", as she didn't know what the reason was.
"Nothing ma", he said, playing it off. "I'm not really hungry ma, I had a big dinner last night, you can have it", he said, lying so that his mother wouldn't have to skip breakfast. His mother looked at him and he knew instantly she saw through it.
Eat ma, you need to", he whispered, as he knew his mom enough to know she would starve rather than him eat any less.
She looked at him Solemnly, and just sighed as she sat down in the spot she had prepared for him at the table. She seemed to age month just looking at the plate, knowing it could have gone to her son.
David left as soon as he saw a tiny crack in his mothers strength. He didn't want to see his mother break on the first day heading to the academy.
