Watching Harper run through the splash park from the bench nearby, Eve let a soft smile creep across his face. A loving sigh escaped her, making Hunter take notice.
"What are you thinking, pretty lady?" he asked, moving a stray hair from her face.
"I was just thinking about how nice this is. I know we just started dating, but it's not just you that makes this feel right. Harper sure does have a way of stealing your heart, doesn't she?"
"She sure does. I didn't even know if I wanted kids when her mom got pregnant. The first time I held her in my arms and those little fingers wrapped around mine, I knew this was the life I wanted. I hate that she doesn't have a mom that loves her, but my family gives her enough love to last a lifetime."
"I want kids on day. You're lucky."
"I guess I am," he said as he proudly watched his daughter splash in the water.
"Have you ever thought about marrying again?" she asked.
