Becca couldn't sleep. It could have been because of stress and anxiety twining around her with every minute closer to when she could finally do what she came here for. But a part of her knew it was deeper than that. It was the dreams, how disoriented they always made her when she woke. It was difficult to relish a night's rest when she knew that would be the outcome.
She crept out of bed on silent feet and headed into the walk- in closet. She was a glutton for punishment. Something inside her had felt unsettled the moment she stepped foot back into this house, since she looked through most of those photos and she wanted to know why.
